Unlike the typical thick texture of sunscreens, this feels more like applying a regular emulsion or moisturizer. It glides on smoothly and leaves your skin feeling hydrated without any stickiness or heaviness. Compared to many matte and white-cast-heavy sunscreens, this one applies comfortably. It has a transparent and clean application. It's as moisturizing as a hydrating cream, so you can protect your skin from the sun and keep it hydrated in one go. While matte sunscreens often require special removers or vigorous rubbing to wash off, it's amazing that this one rinses off with just water. Even with gentle cleansing, it removes completely without leaving any residue. Due to its extremely lightweight texture, you need to be careful to prevent it from running. Its minimalist design makes it easy to carry, so you can take it with you when you go out and reapply frequently. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2021
I tried this as part of The Hwahae Testers. It's light enough for daily use, which is great. I even used it with my kids. It absorbs well after application. What's more, it rinses off easily with just water when cleansing, making it perfect for children to use. As it's getting warmer and summer is approaching, I find myself reaching for sunscreens with higher SPF when going out. While this product is good for light use throughout the year, it's a bit disappointing to use on its own during summer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 16, 2021
I loved how this product applies as light as water with a hydrating formula! It didn't feel sticky or sit on top of the skin, but spread thinly and evenly, leaving a fresh finish. There wasn't any excessive white cast, and the fact that it's water-removable seems to be its biggest advantage. Perhaps due to my oily skin, I felt like the oil came through a bit quickly. While being water-removable is a plus for me, I can imagine this might not be ideal for everyone! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 16, 2021
This gentle non-nano mineral sunscreen is said to be suitable for everyone from children under 36 months with weak skin barriers to sensitive adults. I was initially worried about some ingredients that might irritate sensitive skin, but my daughter with extremely dry, sensitive skin in 3rd grade used it without any blemishes, so it's a product we can use with peace of mind. When you first start applying it, there's a slight rich feeling and a white cast, but once you pat it in to absorb, it feels light and fresh on the skin. As the weather gets warmer, kids might dislike sunscreens that are too sticky or oily, so I think this absorbs just right. My daughter likes that it's unscented, so she doesn't smell sunscreen when wearing a mask. Her previous sunscreen had a scent that gave her headaches when masked. While most sunscreens require special removers and cleansers, this Botanical Therapy sunscreen washes off easily with water, which is super convenient. My child has very sensitive skin, so I still use a foam cleanser just in case, but for normal skin types, water should be enough to remove it completely. Since it's washable, active kids might find it comes off easily with sweat and oil, so for effective sun protection, you may need to reapply frequently. (I mainly use this product on school days. These days, due to COVID, outdoor activities are limited, so mostly sitting in the classroom, I apply it in the morning, and when she comes home after school, the sunscreen is still there, so I think the sun protection is sufficient.) As someone with sensitive dry skin, I found it worked well with foundation too. When I applied the recommended amount of sunscreen, I worried I'd messed up because it looked too white and considered washing it off. But after spreading it evenly, patting it in, and drying my hair for about 5 minutes, it beautifully brightened my complexion by one shade. I could apply foundation directly without a separate base, which was convenient. It didn't cause pilling either. (My skin gets so dry that even moisturizing foundations crack after 2 hours, so I used O Hui First Skin - O Hui First Ampoule - O Hui First Emulsion - Cream - Sunscreen - Foundation in that order.) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 14, 2021
As a mineral sunscreen, it's perfect for daily light application. Even my 34-month-old baby applies it without fuss. Best of all, it washes off easily with water, which is great for kids! With cleansing waters, I always worry about residue and my child gets irritated with extra washing, but this just rinses off in the shower - so convenient! I was initially concerned about the white cast, but after reading up, I learned that nano-sized particles eliminate white cast but might not be good for children. I'm relieved this is non-nano. The fragrance-free formula is another plus. Parents will recognize the scent - it's similar to Bepanthen. The long shelf life is also appreciated! Personally, I found it slightly sticky and it takes a bit of time to spread evenly. However, considering its safe ingredients for children, I'm very satisfied overall - you won't find a better sunscreen for kids! While the SPF isn't the highest, it's perfect for daily use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 14, 2021
I loved the lightweight, emulsion-type texture that felt moisturizing without any stickiness. It brightened my complexion like a brightening moisturizer, leaving my skin hydrated with a bonus glow effect. Although it claimed to be washable, I thought it would come off completely without foam cleansing. However, I noticed a slight oily residue, so I had to use a face wash for thorough removal. Since the SPF is relatively low, it might be good to reapply frequently. The lightweight, non-sticky texture makes it great for applying on kids too. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 13, 2021
I've been using this sunscreen with my 26-month-old baby. It's perfect for light application, especially now that the sun is getting stronger and the weather is warming up. What I love most is its gentle formula that's safe for baby skin, and how easily it washes off with just a single cleanse. I'm so satisfied that I'll definitely repurchase when I run out. It doesn't glide on as smoothly as I'd like. The texture feels a bit thick when applying... However, this isn't a major drawback, so I'm still satisfied overall. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 12, 2021
I've found the perfect sunscreen to use with my child. I love the gentle mineral formula and its lightweight texture, which feels more like a sun emulsion than a typical sunscreen. It applies thinly and washes off easily with water, which my child especially appreciates during cleansing. While I enjoy how moisturizing and lightweight it is, those looking for a sunscreen with more coverage might find it a bit lacking. My 6-year-old tried it themselves and exclaimed, 'Wow, it really washes off well!' while rinsing with water. It seems perfect for daily light application and can be easily removed with just a water cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 12, 2021
As a mom raising kids, I've always made sure to use quality skincare products. My eldest has super sensitive skin, so we've tried everything that's supposed to be good! Every year I buy sunscreen, but nothing really stood out. While searching for this year's product, I saw a post on Hwahae recruiting testers and applied - and I got selected! I opened the package as soon as it arrived. Unlike other sunscreens that feel sticky, this one has a light serum-like texture that feels weightless when applied. I've used Botanical Therapy's cream and stick balm before and liked them, so I'm glad their sun protection is good too. The best part is that since it's for kids, you can wash it off with just water. It's great not having to worry about soap getting in their eyes when cleansing their faces! While everything else is great, if I had to point out one minor inconvenience, it would be that opening and closing the cap can be a bit fiddly. When I find it bothersome to get sunscreen on my hands, I put a bit on an unused cushion puff and apply it like cushion foundation. It's convenient as it doesn't get on your hands this way! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 12, 2021
I tried this as a first-step cleanser for removing sunscreen. I was looking for something gentle to use with my child, and I'm glad I found this. Being mild and fragrance-free, I liked it even more. The texture is smooth and feels light, leaving my skin hydrated. While it's not completely oil-free since it's a sunscreen, it's still comfortable to use. I love how easily it applies. Most importantly, since I'm using it with my child, I've noticed many issues with other cleansers, but this one works great as a first step. I think we'll continue using it together. Maybe because I have dry skin, but it leaves quite a white cast on my face. Surprisingly, it adheres well to my child's skin without any white residue. If I apply a small amount right after cleansing, it's okay, but on slightly dry skin, it seems to sit on top rather than absorb. They say you should use about a coin-sized amount of sunscreen, but with this one, you need to use very little. For best results, apply a small amount by gently patting it on damp skin after cleansing. This helps it spread evenly without leaving a white cast. If your skin is dry, it might leave a noticeable white layer. If you dislike white casts, try a botanical sunscreen instead - those typically don't leave any residue.
