I've been using this product recently as a foundation-free option, and it feels so light and great on my skin. Unlike foundation, which can cause blemishes with daily use, this sunscreen doesn't seem to trigger breakouts. It offers better coverage and staying power compared to other brightening moisturizers. I'm loving how it cuts down my makeup routine - no need for foundation! The skin-tone shade blends beautifully with my complexion. Naturally, if you have oily areas around your nose, it can bunch up a bit there. It might pill slightly if you apply too much pressure during your skincare routine. To prevent pilling and ensure smooth application, make sure your skincare products are well-absorbed first! For any oily patches that develop, gently blotting with oil-absorbing sheets usually does the trick. I'm fairly satisfied with this product. It applies with a slightly matte finish and gives my darker complexion a nice, lively brightening effect. As someone who's prone to sudden blemish outbreaks with new products, I always approach them with caution. Fortunately, this one didn't cause any major skin issues. I've been searching for a product that doesn't make my darker skin look too pale while still being generally effective, and this one seems to fit the bill better than others I've tried. Perhaps due to the warmer weather, I've noticed some bumpy texture appearing, especially around my chin area. I need to apply powder very sparingly, as even a slightly heavier application can make it look cakey. I think this might be because of my combination dehydrated skin type. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMay 24, 2025
The buy-one-get-one-free deal was great! I bought it with high hopes after hearing so many positive reviews. I really liked that the texture is similar to foundation, but it's actually a foundation-free sunscreen. I may have set my expectations too high... Although it's marketed as foundation-free with some coverage, I found it to be just a brightening moisturizer with SPF. As someone with dry skin who needs to get ready early for morning workouts, I don't have much time for an extensive skincare routine. Even after using toner pads, serum, and moisturizer, by second period at school, my dead skin cells were visible and my complexion looked lackluster. As a result, I only use it on weekends now. Everyone's skin is different, so if you're looking for a brightening sunscreen, I'd still recommend it. Just be aware that it can settle into fine lines a bit and has quite a light color, so apply sparingly. I suggest using just a small amount each time. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMay 20, 2025
The coverage was excellent, and I didn't experience any irritation on my face at all. Being a mineral sunscreen, it had a slight tendency to sit on the skin and flake a bit. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 19, 2025
I bought the Hwahae Tester and it was nice. The skin expression was beautifully created, and the coverage was decent, so I was satisfied with its performance. I tend to have a lot of oil in my T-zone, and if I don't apply powder, something puffy and bumpy forms and appears on my forehead area over time. Additionally, I'm disappointed that it doesn't have a tone-up function. At first, it brightens my complexion by about 0.5 tones, but after a few hours, it appears to have darkened. Apply the powder evenly and thoroughly. I recommend using a puff instead of your hands to apply it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 18, 2025
- The color is natural The color has a light beige feel with a reddish undertone It's not too bright and applies evenly, making it a good fit for concentrated application on dull areas, like when using a concealer as a base - The finish is clean and powdery (Conveys a moist, healthy skin expression <<< Expresses a powdery, less shiny finish) - It nicely enhances the skin texture (This type of formula should be avoided when the skin is dry or flushed, causing the skin texture to deteriorate) - The formula itself is moderately dense, so it applies comfortably in small amounts and blends well into the skin When spread out, it adheres thinly The color may feel less vibrant depending on your skin tone and the desired look. It can also appear dull. The coverage may not be as seamless or feel heavy depending on your skin condition and base makeup application. It does not create non-existent skin texture. You cannot expect a smooth and dewy skin finish. However, the product absorbs well and provides a natural skin-like appearance. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 3, 2025
It evens out the skin tone decently, without being too light or too dark The right side is before use, the left is after. My skin erupted with tiny bumps... And this is even after a week of home care to calm it down. I originally only had acne scars, but now I've got a minefield of bumps. The coverage isn't as good as I expected either. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinApr 28, 2025
It blends well with any skin tone - should I say it naturally brightens and gives a truly flawless finish? It applies smoothly, but after a while, it settles into a slightly matte feel. Since it also provides sun protection, I'm using it as my go-to instead of sunscreen and foundation. The finish is a bit matte, so if you don't exfoliate, it might not sit well. Also, I have super sensitive skin, so when I apply products that feel thick, it's like bugs are crawling on my face - and this product gives me that sensation a little, haha. Oh, and it definitely pills if you use it with other base makeup products, so apply it alone. If you don't want to use cushion, sunscreen, or foundation, but still want flawless skin, just apply this thinly. The skin finish is truly amazing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 25, 2025
This product really brightens up my face and I absolutely love using it because it can match my complexion without making me look unnaturally pale It might flake if applied on very dry skin, and can pill when your skin is extra dewy - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 13, 2025
I bought this a month ago during a 1+1 sale at Olive Young for around 25,000 won, and I've been using it consistently ever since! It applies smoothly, and I love how hydrating it is (my skin type is acne-prone and combination). I usually apply this as the final step in my skincare routine, and it seems to make my makeup adhere better. It provides decent coverage and has a nearly unscented formula. I've been using it daily as it's so lightweight. I've tried several foundation-free products, but this one suits me best, so I've settled on it! Given my combination skin type, oil tends to build up over time, causing the product to separate and look patchy. I think this might be more suitable for those with dry skin. It applies better when you pat it in with a cushion puff rather than using your fingers.
