I've been using this product recently as a foundation-free option, and it feels so light and great on my skin. Unlike foundation, which can cause blemishes with daily use, this sunscreen doesn't seem to trigger breakouts. It offers better coverage and staying power compared to other brightening moisturizers. I'm loving how it cuts down my makeup routine - no need for foundation! The skin-tone shade blends beautifully with my complexion. Naturally, if you have oily areas around your nose, it can bunch up a bit there. It might pill slightly if you apply too much pressure during your skincare routine. To prevent pilling and ensure smooth application, make sure your skincare products are well-absorbed first! For any oily patches that develop, gently blotting with oil-absorbing sheets usually does the trick. While the coverage isn't incredibly high, it still manages to conceal fairly well. What's particularly nice is how beautifully it applies even when you use your fingers. As someone with oily, sensitive skin prone to occasional blemishes, I'm most impressed by the fact that it didn't cause any breakouts. The coverage isn't particularly strong. The price point isn't exactly budget-friendly. This foundation works hard for combination dehydrated skin types. It absorbs well without pilling, leaving a natural glow without feeling sticky. It's great for those looking to even out their complexion without heavy coverage. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 22, 2025
I tried this product on my sister's recommendation, and I'm impressed! It provides great coverage and adheres well to the skin. If you find using foundation a bit daunting, this product is perfect for a quick and easy application. You can just swipe it on like sunscreen. I wish it was a bit more hydrating! However, I've never experienced any blemishes after using it. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinMay 21, 2025
I've been using the original Double Wear foundation for over a decade, but on days when I have to wear a mask for long periods, I decided to try this product with just sunscreen. To my surprise, it exceeded my expectations in terms of coverage and complexion correction. I'm extremely satisfied! From now on, I plan to skip foundation altogether and use this sunscreen alone for my skin makeup. So far, I haven't experienced any downsides after using it. If I had to nitpick, maybe the price compared to the amount you get? When applied with a wedge sponge, it evens skin tone naturally and absorbs well. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMay 20, 2025
The coverage was excellent, and I didn't experience any irritation on my face at all. Being a mineral sunscreen, it had a slight tendency to sit on the skin and flake a bit. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 19, 2025
I bought the Hwahae Tester and it was nice. The skin expression was beautifully created, and the coverage was decent, so I was satisfied with its performance. I tend to have a lot of oil in my T-zone, and if I don't apply powder, something puffy and bumpy forms and appears on my forehead area over time. Additionally, I'm disappointed that it doesn't have a tone-up function. At first, it brightens my complexion by about 0.5 tones, but after a few hours, it appears to have darkened. Apply the powder evenly and thoroughly. I recommend using a puff instead of your hands to apply it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 15, 2025
To me, who is a bit clumsy, it does get a bit shiny after application, but when applied properly and using the Hwahae Testers, it can maintain a radiant complexion until the end of the workday. It has good coverage, so it can definitely be a daily item as a makeup-free option, even for sunscreen. In the summer, it's a bit heavy to apply, and if you sweat a lot, there's a bit of crumbling and clumping! In the summer or on days with high activity, using primer and powder to set the makeup helps increase the longevity, which is great! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 15, 2025
This is a good alternative to foundation. It provides a natural-looking tone-up effect, and unlike regular sunscreen, it also offers light coverage, making it a good option for those who want to avoid foundation. The price is also not bad. The UV protection index is also decent, so it's a good choice. It would likely suit students who have difficulty using foundation or cushion, as well as those with poor skin. After using it, there is no noticeable breakout, and it does not cause significant whitening like tone-up sunscreen or a heavy, stuffy feeling like foundation. The formula is a bit on the dry side. I'm oily, so I don't recommend it to those with dry skin. Lately, there have been a lot of pore-minimizing products coming out, so I'd suggest looking into other products. Since the formula is dry, when you apply it with your hands, the texture of your fingers can be left on your skin, which doesn't look good. So, apply it with your hands to a certain extent, then use a puff or cushion to help it absorb better. While it's pore-minimizing, it doesn't have the same level of coverage as a foundation, so a concealer is a must! Just like applying sunscreen before foundation, please use another sunscreen before using this product. It will apply smoothly that way. However, if you just use your hands to apply it, it won't be great, so please use a puff. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 10, 2025
It's not bad: 1. Good ingredients Safe enough for sensitive skin to use daily without causing blemishes 2. Evens out skin tone While not as effective as foundation, it helps create a more uniform complexion 3. Provides coverage Though it won't completely conceal blemishes, it does offer some coverage 1. Darkening effect Skin appears darker a few hours after application 2. Ambiguous product positioning It's neither a foundation nor a sunscreen... Yet it requires double cleansing and some skin prep before use... Feels like it lacks clear benefits considering the inconvenience 3. Drying effect I have combination skin with dry cheeks, and sometimes I notice dead skin cells appearing on my cheeks after use I recommend trying it on at Olive Young and checking how well it matches your complexion after a few hours before purchasing... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2025
I've been using this product for over a year, and I love its adherence and coverage. It's quite rich, so oil blotting papers are a must. I have combination dehydrated skin.
