The buy-one-get-one-free deal was great! I bought it with high hopes after hearing so many positive reviews. I really liked that the texture is similar to foundation, but it's actually a foundation-free sunscreen. I may have set my expectations too high... Although it's marketed as foundation-free with some coverage, I found it to be just a brightening moisturizer with SPF. As someone with dry skin who needs to get ready early for morning workouts, I don't have much time for an extensive skincare routine. Even after using toner pads, serum, and moisturizer, by second period at school, my dead skin cells were visible and my complexion looked lackluster. As a result, I only use it on weekends now. Everyone's skin is different, so if you're looking for a brightening sunscreen, I'd still recommend it. Just be aware that it can settle into fine lines a bit and has quite a light color, so apply sparingly. I suggest using just a small amount each time. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 5, 2025
As someone with combination skin, I was on the hunt for a summer-friendly base product. Since cushions and foundations tend to cause blemishes on my skin when applied thickly, I decided to try this for a foundation-free look. And wow, I've discovered an unexpected gem! The Hwahae Testers would be impressed. Its staying power is quite good, and the coverage is just enough to even out skin tone without masking your natural complexion. I highly recommend this to those seeking a natural-looking product. Even after hours of wear, it doesn't get overly oily, making it perfect for combination to oily skin types! The product size is disappointingly small... It's about the size of a palm, if that. This is the main reason I'm hesitant about repurchasing. There's also a very slight issue with emphasizing dead skin cells. I have visible veins under my skin, so I've attached a photo for you to see the level of coverage. Please keep in mind that I have freckles and thin skin with visible veins when assessing the results! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 2, 2025
The texture and color are similar to foundation, effectively covering redness and uneven areas of the skin. It's great for daily use. It feels a bit dry for those with dry skin, and after application, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells around the cheeks and lips. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinApr 25, 2025
I'm on my third tube of this and I absolutely love it! The coverage is pretty good and it adheres to the skin beautifully. It blends so naturally, looking just like my own complexion. I tend to have an oily nose, but when I apply this as a base and top it with cushion foundation, it doesn't budge at all. I can't recommend this enough! It does tend to emphasize dead skin cells quite a bit, so you'll definitely want to exfoliate well before using this product. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinApr 25, 2025
It's not bad for a quick and easy application! To be honest, it sometimes accentuates dead skin cells, and when oil comes to the surface, it kind of clumps up like blemishes? That's quite disappointing. After a while, it doesn't make your skin look pretty. It's not terrible if you need to get ready quickly and head out, though. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 13, 2025
True to its name, it gives a porcelain-like finish that's perfect for foundation-free days. I'm on my second bottle and it's fantastic for natural, bare-faced looks. It brightens the complexion in a lively, subtle way. The texture isn't too runny, which works well for oily skin. It's my go-to during summer months. The consistency is thick rather than fluid, so if you don't apply your skincare products carefully to avoid caking, it can make your skin look patchy and emphasize dead skin cells. It also tends to transfer onto masks. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 15, 2025
This is truly a must-have repurchase item! Even on busy mornings, applying just this one product gives you that 'made-up' effect. It's capable of covering pores to some extent, and I love how it brightens my complexion without making my face look unnaturally white. Instead, it evens out my skin tone in a way that blends seamlessly with my natural skin. On days when my skin texture isn't at its best, using this can actually emphasize dead skin cells and cause patchiness. In dry environments like offices, if you're there for long hours, it seems to absorb not just oil but also moisture, leading to deep dryness. However, this is probably unavoidable unless it's a deeply hydrating product. Despite these drawbacks, it's still my holy grail as the benefits outweigh these issues for me. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 12, 2025
📌 Texture ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It has a light cream texture. When applied with hands, it feels slightly sticky, but using a spatula makes it incredibly hydrating. 📌 Brightening effect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My bare skin is shade 23, with darker areas on the forehead and around the mouth. This brightening moisturizer evens out those areas nicely. It lightens my complexion to between shades 21 and 22. True to its name, it really does give you that porcelain doll look! 📌 Transfer ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can't really comment on face transfer as I use cushion foundation over it, but it does transfer onto clothes when applied to the neck. The texture isn't light enough for hands and arms, so I recommend using it only on the face. 📌 Longevity ⭐️⭐️⭐️ When I've used just this brightening moisturizer in a rush, it looks good for about 4 hours. After that, it starts to fade and can emphasize texture a bit. For best results, I recommend applying it over a well-hydrated base. It transfers onto clothes when applied to the neck, and when used alone, it can slightly emphasize texture and dead skin cells. When using this brightening moisturizer alone, make sure to apply a hydrating skincare routine beforehand for longer-lasting results. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 29, 2025
This is a substantial brightening moisturizer with SPF. The coverage isn't bad. I'd recommend it more for oily skin than dry skin. Those with dry skin should really avoid this. Even though I have oily skin, it still emphasized dead skin cells and pilled a bit... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 19, 2025
The complexion looks natural and subtle, without being irritating. It gives an overall natural appearance in many ways. It tends to emphasize dead skin cells, though my skin is prone to this issue anyway. The lasting power is moderate to low. Coverage and ability to even skin tone are also moderate to low.
