  Pros

  Texture: I've used many cleansing milks and oils, but this is my first time trying a balm format! It's creamier than I expected and melts nicely on the skin, making it easy to spread. Scent: It has a pleasant cleansing fragrance that's not overwhelming. While it could have been fine unscented, the subtle aroma is quite nice! Application: Using the spoon method isn't as inconvenient as I thought, and the balm maintains its form well. I like that I can use it up completely, unlike pump bottles. Cleansing Effectiveness: When you melt the balm and massage it on your skin, it creates a nice glide. It removes makeup effectively and emulsifies well! The finish isn't drying either. Skin Type: I have oily skin prone to blemishes. For my skin type, the balm texture might feel a bit richer than oil cleansers. However, it didn't cause any issues with my blemish-prone areas. I even feel like my pores might have gotten smaller!

  Cons

  Since you need to scoop out the balm for each use, it's not easy to control the amount, so it might run out quickly. I prefer a squeaky clean finish, so when I used this product alone, it left a slightly slippery feeling. I followed up with a cleansing foam. The after-feel might be a matter of personal preference. It might be too rich for those with oily skin due to its high oil content! It would probably suit those with dry skin better. While the ingredients list could be improved, it didn't cause any skin irritation, so I plan to continue using it.

  It's beneficial to emulsify and massage the product on your skin once more with warm water.

  For sensitive combination dehydrated skin: Scent: Upon opening, there's no distinct fragrance. The subtle scent means it's unlikely to be polarizing. Texture: While it looks like a solid balm, it has a soft, buttery consistency. Performance: The cleansing effectiveness is phenomenal... I applied heavy foundation, eyebrow pencil, and lipstick, then removed it all - it just melted away effortlessly. It cleanses incredibly gently without any irritation, dissolving makeup quickly and efficiently. It's truly amazing! Although I received this as part of The Hwahae Testers program, I'd definitely repurchase it with my own money once I finish it. Even with super sensitive skin, it allows for gentle, non-irritating cleansing...! It's absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend it!

  There are no downsides... truly none...! I really can't think of any... I just recommend it wholeheartedly! Actually, the only slight inconvenience is that there's no place to store the spatula.

  Tip

  You don't need to use a large amount - a small quantity is sufficient for thorough cleansing! However, if you're wearing heavy eye makeup, make sure to cleanse thoroughly.

  My skin type: Combination (T-zone is oily, while U-zone is dry and flaky). I have some texture in the T-zone and occasionally get inflamed acne. I was fortunate to be selected as a Hwahae Tester for this product! I'll provide an honest review that I hope will help those with similar skin types. Product description: Texture: It's not as thick as I expected, but spreads smoothly. It melts quickly and feels like it's absorbing well into the skin. Scent: To me, it has a hint of aromatherapy or lavender oil! It's not unscented, so those sensitive to fragrances should take note. How I used it: I tried this product on days when I wore makeup. I used this as my first cleanse, followed by a foaming cleanser to finish. Application: It applies very smoothly and melts quickly when massaged into the face, making cleansing quite easy. Unlike many balms that can be very thick and hard to melt, this one is different! Results: I tend to get a lot of blackheads and whiteheads in my T-zone, but after using this product for a few days, I noticed fewer whiteheads forming around my nose! It also removes makeup thoroughly, so I'm very satisfied with its cleansing effectiveness. (While my blackheads remained, the whiteheads definitely decreased - I've attached a photo of the area around my nose to show this.)

  Cons

  Before using this product, I was hoping it would eliminate the blackheads on my nose and inner cheeks, but they were still there - maybe mine are just too stubborn! Also, something in the ingredients didn't agree with my skin, causing redness and a tingling sensation. While it applies well and cleanses effectively, it's unfortunate that it doesn't suit my skin. I think it might be due to the PEG and phenoxyethanol in the ingredients. It would be great if the formula could be improved!

  Tip

  I highly recommend this cleansing balm for those who wear makeup frequently, as it removes it gently yet thoroughly! (Except for those with super sensitive skin) If you have oily skin, make sure to follow up with a second cleanse!

It looked quite solid at first glance, but it's actually smoother than expected. It's softer than a sorbet-like consistency. It melts wonderfully with body heat, allowing for a gentle roll-on application that cleanses effectively. I love that it comes with a stick that fits into the lid for storage - so much more convenient than those double-lid designs! ⭐Ingredients / Cleansing Effectiveness I was hoping for better ingredients... there are a few concerning ones, which is disappointing. As for cleansing effectiveness, I tested it on mascara and eyeliner that usually require eye makeup remover or cleansing oil. It removed them very well, which was satisfying! The product emulsifies nicely too. Even if it got in my eyes while cleansing, it only blurred my vision slightly without causing any tingling. Being a cleansing balm, it does a great job of dissolving sebum in the pores, leaving my skin feeling smooth after double cleansing. ⭐Scent The scent is slightly herbal...? It seems to be an aromatic fragrance in the product, but it's not overpowering - just a subtle, pleasant aroma.

  The price of 20,000₩ for 100ml feels a bit steep... I think I'd choose products with better value for money and ingredients over this one...
