This was better than I expected. It applies incredibly smoothly, lathers well, and seems to cleanse effectively. It's so soft that it feels nice when scooping it out with the spoon! The fact that it's made in Japan? I'm a bit concerned about whether it's really safe to apply on my skin. - ea*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 24, 2024
I'm amazed that it's made with charcoal! It doesn't have a strong charcoal scent and spreads smoothly, which is totally satisfying. It even removes heavy makeup effectively. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. It's perfectly fine for daily use. - mi*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedAug 19, 2024
I'm honestly surprised this isn't more popular. I'm extremely satisfied with it. While I don't use mascara or eyeliner, it removes all other makeup exceptionally well, apart from the long-lasting tints. What I truly love is how it effectively dissolves and extracts sebum. As you massage it in, you can feel the sebum bumps on your T-zone under your fingertips - it's so satisfying! It even smooths out the whiteheads under the chin with a good massage. However, you need to use enough product to really get those sebum-extracting benefits. I'd recommend using at least the amount shown in my attached photo. Also, you need to massage it in gently for about 5 minutes to really get those sebum plugs out. Because of the rubbing, I don't do this every day to avoid irritation, but space it out. After one thorough cleansing session followed by regular daily cleansing, you'll notice sebum and whiteheads take longer to form! The scent is an aromatic herb fragrance, very similar to Earth Mama's Organic Balm. It's quite strong, but being an aromatherapy scent, it's not unpleasant or nauseating. The texture is softer than other cleansing balms, so it melts very smoothly on the skin. I recently snagged this for under $6 on Coupang, which made it an incredible value for money. Unfortunately, it's not available at that price anymore. I should have stocked up! When using a larger amount, even with thorough emulsification, it does leave quite a bit of oil residue. For combination dehydrated skin, a second cleanse is a must. I always follow up with a mild acidic soap to remove the oily film left behind. Also, it doesn't do much for long-standing, deeply embedded blackheads. While it does smooth out the bumpy texture when you touch your nose, it doesn't extract stubborn blackheads like it does with sebum in the T-zone. If you're buying this specifically for blackhead removal, you might be disappointed. One design flaw is the spatula that's supposed to attach to the lid - it falls off constantly. It's better to just flip the whole container upside down and twist it open instead of using the lid. - ms****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 17, 2024
1. Skin type: Combination dehydrated, super sensitive skin 2. Texture: Compared to other cleansing balms I've used, this one has a much softer consistency. The included spoon makes it easy to scoop out and control the amount, allowing me to use just what I need and make the product last longer. I really appreciated this aspect. 3. Cleansing effectiveness: This is the most crucial part, and I was extremely satisfied. It removes everything from mascara to lipstick in one go, and it cleans so thoroughly that there's no need for a second cleanse. What's more, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight afterwards, which is why I highly recommend it. 4. Irritation: Despite having combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin, I always pay close attention to cleansing. This product caused no tingling sensation or blemishes. 5. Overall: Considering both the price point and its performance, this is a product I'll continue to use. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the packaging design. - ga*******Combination SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 28, 2024
You know how Kiss Me mascara is notoriously hard to remove, right? Well, this product just melts it away effortlessly. It feels so silky smooth, which is really nice. After cleansing, my skin feels a bit dry... It seems to strip away all the natural oils from my face. I was worried about residual oil, so I followed up with a foam cleanser for a second cleanse. - ye*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 24, 2024
It contains charcoal, which gives it a grayish-black color! As the name 'Deep Clear' suggests, it's fantastic for removing excess oil. The cleansing balm melts into the skin beautifully and cleanses effectively. I'm really impressed! I don't have any particular complaints! I know many people worry about hygiene when using cleansing balms, but since I've been using them for a while, I always make sure to wipe the spatula clean after each use before putting it back. So I haven't experienced any issues. If you dislike the extra step, consider trying it out after some thought! - nx******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedAug 17, 2023
The built-in spatula makes it incredibly easy to scoop out the product, and it melts beautifully when applied to the skin. It seems to remove makeup effectively (though I can't speak for mascara as I don't use it). The scent reminds me of something that would repel mosquitoes. It gently dissolves makeup, and when I feel some texture around my nose area, I make sure to massage it thoroughly. This helps reduce the appearance of blackheads. When removing makeup, I felt the product was a bit too rich in texture. It causes a tingling sensation. Initially, my entire face reacted, but now I only get blemishes in certain areas. As a result, I'm diligently applying skincare products with cica ingredients. The spatula tends to detach easily. - ou***Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessJun 9, 2023
No need for double cleansing - this one does it all! Effectively removes sunscreen Says goodbye to blackheads!!! Maybe it's the charcoal... but it left my cheeks feeling dry (gave it to my oily-skinned friend) Made in Japan A little goes a long way - you need less than you might think - ma***Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 14, 2023
Highly recommended for oily skin with excess sebum and enlarged pores! Just roll it gently over your dry face, and watch the sebum disappear like magic! After cleansing, your skin feels as smooth as if you've had a professional peeling treatment. There's nothing particularly bad about it. If I had to nitpick, I'd say it's a shame they don't offer sales. - ql******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 29, 2023Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Cleansing effectiveness: Removes even waterproof products well. 2. Texture: Although it's a balm, it quickly melts with body heat when placed on hands, becoming oily and easy to gently massage. 3. Portability: Since it can cleanse waterproof formulas, you only need to pack this one product for travel instead of a separate lip and eye remover. 4. Spatula: The best part is that you don't have to scoop it out with your fingers. It comes with a spatula inside the container, making it convenient to use. 1. Slight irritation: While it didn't cause new blemishes during use, I felt a slight tingling sensation. I plan to use it only on days when I wear makeup. 2. After-feel: It's a bit hard to distinguish whether the finish is moisturizing or if there's residue left. Double cleansing seems necessary. 3. Blackheads: The effect is milder than expected. However, I think this is similar for most products that aren't peel-off nose packs.
