The high moisture content allows it to spread easily without pilling, making it convenient to use.
ConsIt seems to have poor staying power, possibly due to incompatibility with my current foundation.

The narrow tube opening makes it easy to control the amount. - Ingredients & 2-week skin test: Slightly disappointing to see coloring agents listed as a caution ingredient, but no blemishes occurred during the 2-week use. - Texture & Application: Slightly runny with a rich feel. When applied to the face, it doesn't feel greasy and doesn't pill at all. It doesn't pill even when foundation is applied immediately on top, so you can apply generously without worry. Unlike other brightening moisturizers, it has a slight green tint, which seems to effectively neutralize redness!
ConsThere's nothing disappointing about the product itself, but the price point is a bit high. I wish they would have more sales...

No blemishes 3. Not oily 4. No eye irritation The 'Real Barrier Cica Green Tone-Up Sunscreen' matched exactly what I was looking for. With its milky emulsion-like soft texture and hydrating formula, it's incredibly handy for busy mornings. You can quickly apply it with your hands, and it finishes with a fresh feel without any stickiness. Even when reapplying, there's no pilling. I could apply it super close to my eyes, like an eye cream, without any irritation at all. The green base helps even out the complexion, whether you have redness or skin that's become flushed from strong midday sun. It's perfect for a foundation-free look. While it does have a white cast, it's different from the typical mineral sunscreens. Maybe because cica works well for my skin, the centella ingredient calmed my skin without causing any blemishes. The ceramides protected my skin barrier, preventing dryness. It's gentle yet offers powerful sun protection with SPF50+ PA++++. The oil content is just right, so I didn't even need powder.
ConsIt's said to have a high content of niacinamide for brightening, which should help improve pigmentation marks, but I couldn't really notice the effect.
TipBeing a mineral sunscreen, it might cause some dryness, but I think a solid skincare routine is the answer. The more effort you put into your skincare, the longer the moisture lasts. Depending on your skin condition, focusing on hydration or ceramides can help reduce dryness.

Thanks to being selected for The Hwahae Testers, I've discovered an excellent sunscreen for sensitive skin types! Just looking at the ingredients, you can see they've made a real effort to minimize skin irritation. Using it firsthand, I could really feel the difference. It goes on as comfortably as skincare, which I found incredibly satisfying! Usually, when I apply foundation over sunscreen, it tends to pill, but this product didn't do that at all, making it perfect for daily use. After using it, I didn't experience any blemishes or redness, and my skin felt comfortable. Since 'tone-up' is in the name, I was curious about its brightening effect. It gave a natural half-tone brightening to my complexion without looking artificial!
ConsWhile some might appreciate its hydrating quality, as someone with combination dehydrated skin, I can't help but feel that if they had reduced the rich feeling just a bit, this could have been my holy grail sunscreen.
TipIt's incredibly gentle and hydrating, so I think I'll reach for it often during the winter months!

However, this product is wonderfully hydrating despite being mineral-based! It's amazing how this feels for a mineral sunscreen. 💛 Great under cushion foundation Since it's on the moisturizing side, I tried using it as a base for makeup. It didn't cause pilling or separation and worked well with my cushion! I'll likely use them together often. 💛 Can be used without foundation While everyone's desired level of brightening differs, for me it provides a natural brightening effect that I could use on its own. 💛 No eye irritation My eye area is somewhat sensitive, but even when I applied it liberally, there was no stinging sensation.
ConsSo far, I haven't found any major drawbacks. Perhaps those with oily skin might feel it's a bit rich when first applied?
TipThe green tone-correcting effect could help those with redness in their complexion!

I tend to prefer mineral sunscreens over chemical ones, and this one was a good fit for me. Although it's a mineral sunscreen, I thought the application was quite smooth. Many sunscreens tend to leave a white cast on my face, but this one didn't. It finished with a nice, soft and fresh look without any dryness or stickiness. Even after makeup, there was no dryness or flaking. The fragrance was almost unscented, which was fine for me since I'm not very sensitive to scents, but it should be suitable even for those who are sensitive. While it's not as covering as a concealer, it evened out my skin tone naturally without any white cast, and helped a bit with the redness, making color correction easier. I usually have to put a lot of effort into correcting the redness in my skin, and this was about at the level of a green makeup base. As the weather has been getting hotter, my sebum production has increased and I've had some breakouts, but after using this for about a week, I didn't experience any irritation or worsening of my skin condition. I think those with acne-prone, sensitive skin could use this comfortably as well. Unless you have an issue with ceramides or centella, this should be tolerable without any irritation. I personally have never experienced any eye stinging when using sunscreen, so I can't really comment on that, but I didn't have any issues with it either. The sun protection was also good. While it's difficult to reapply frequently when you have makeup on, I feel like mineral sunscreens tend to provide better protection than chemical ones. Anyway, the high SPF and effective protection were great. The most satisfying aspects were that it wasn't irritating, had a slight tone-up effect, was easy to apply even on the neck, and had a smooth, non-greasy texture that worked well for my combination skin, even in the summer. I'd especially recommend this to oily/combination skin types, and it pairs well with the Realbarrier cream I've been using.
ConsFor someone like me with oily skin, there was no disappointment at all, and it fit so well that I felt like I had found the sunscreen of my life. However, those with dry skin might prefer the more moisturizing blue sunscreen. That said, I think this product would be a good match for those who dislike stickiness or greasiness.
TipI highly recommend this to skin care enthusiasts, especially Hwahae Trial Reviewers.

While many sunscreens offer brightening effects, it's rare to find one that does it so elegantly - this product nails it 3. Layers wonderfully under makeup without pilling or feeling heavy 4. No white cast whatsoever 5. Doesn't cause blemishes, and the added cica ingredients are a big plus
ConsThe product dispenses quite generously, so be careful when applying Might feel a bit rich for those with oily skin - using it with powder can help Feels like it needs to be removed with an oil cleanser
TipAdjust the amount you apply before makeup, since your foundation likely has some sun protection too

I have dry skin around my eyes and an oily T-zone, and I use this daily before applying makeup. It doesn't cause my makeup to pill, keeps my skin hydrated, and has a lovely texture. The brightening effect is subtle, not overpowering - just a slight luminosity that I'm really pleased with.
ConsIf you're looking for a significant brightening effect and hoping to use this as your sole sunscreen, you might be disappointed. The brightening is quite subtle.
TipIt's fantastic as a base before makeup. It gently evens out the complexion while providing hydration, making it an excellent primer.

It's incredibly hydrating and applies smoothly. I reapply 2-3 times daily, and it doesn't pill, making it perfect for everyday use. White cast: I tend to apply a generous amount and reapply often, so there is some white cast typical of mineral sunscreens. However, with a single application, it provides just enough brightening that those who don't wear makeup might find it satisfactory. Being mineral-based, it causes zero eye irritation. I even apply it around my eyes. I've tried countless sunscreens, but this one doesn't clump, cake, or pill when reapplied, which I find extremely satisfying. As someone particularly sensitive to sunscreen fragrances, I appreciate that this product is unscented. Also, my skin usually gets dehydrated with reapplication, but not with this one, making it a pleasure to use. With its high SPF, I feel confident using it even in summer. I used to think high SPF meant skin irritation, so I always stuck to SPF 35, but this Real Barrier product, despite being SPF 50, feels gentle and non-irritating. It seems to provide thorough UV protection, making it a completely satisfying product for me!
ConsAfter using it for two full weeks, as someone who regularly uses mineral sunscreens, I didn't find any particular drawbacks.
TipIt feels moisturizing when applied, but afterwards it settles to a finish between matte and powdery, like a protective layer. Those with extremely dry skin might benefit from using a hydrating base skincare routine before applying this sunscreen.

The sunscreen alone can provide a natural brightening effect. Applying it as a base before darker foundations can make your face look even more radiant. 2. It doesn't pill under makeup. Some sunscreens pill and come off like dead skin cells when you apply makeup, but this one feels like it wraps around your skin like an emulsion. It's great to use as a base under makeup. 3. The ingredients are gentle. The gentle ingredients make it safe to use without worry. 4. It has a moisturizing texture and sturdy packaging. It's a light, water-like green sunscreen with a hydrating formula. The packaging is lightweight yet durable, so it won't break easily!
ConsWell... it's decent. I don't have any complaints. I don't usually use sunscreen regularly, but this has motivated me to start applying it diligently.
TipTo slow down aging, use sunscreen consistently...
