The brightening effect works well and is quite noticeable. No stinging sensation around the eyes.
ConsHowever, while it brightens, it didn't really suit my skin tone. It made me look rather pale, like I'd applied too much sunscreen. I've uploaded a photo comparing it to the Numbuzin No.3 Tone-Up Sunscreen (the greener formula on the left), which I've used for over 3 tubes. The Numbuzin No.3 was very satisfying (aside from the capsule "kimchi juice" issue), but it's been discontinued... You can see the color difference, right? The greener tint makes for a more natural complexion, while the Real Barrier looks almost bluish in comparison. That's why I have to apply it down to my neck to make it look better. It's also quite sticky. When oil builds up on your face, your hair starts sticking to it - it's a mess!
TipThe issue with hair sticking to your face could probably be solved by setting it with powder. It's just a bit of a hassle.

Used for about a year. As it's a mineral sunscreen, there's a slight white cast, but it applies smoothly. It's not too thick, but thicker than organic sunscreens (as expected). At first, the white cast feels a bit awkward, but after spreading it well and giving it time, you get a nice brightening effect. However, it's important to apply this after your base skincare has fully absorbed. If you rush to apply it before absorption, you might experience pilling. Overall, it seems pretty good.
ConsThere aren't really any downsides. No eye irritation, and it was comfortable to use as a mineral sunscreen. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that since it's in a tube, sometimes it suddenly squirts out or pours out all at once.

It's quite transparent! Now, I have skin prone to redness, so I always apply a green sunscreen or makeup base before my foundation, followed by concealer. Since sunscreen is the first step in my skincare routine, it's crucial that it works well with my foundation. Even on days when I'm not wearing makeup, I need something non-irritating with just the right amount of brightening. We all know sunscreen is a must 365 days a year, right?! The brightening effect isn't too strong, and any white cast disappears over time. Anyway, while searching for sunscreens, I remembered how effective the Real Barrier sunscreen was when I had a severe case of seborrheic dermatitis. When I found out they had a version with a green base, I quickly snagged it at a great price on a secondhand marketplace! Using it, I realized... this product is truly transparent! It's incredibly consistent - the texture when you first apply it and how it feels on your skin doesn't change. It's a product that combines both oil and moisture, gliding on smoothly. It's oddly rich yet incredibly hydrating, so it doesn't separate on the skin. There's absolutely no deep dryness, and foundation adheres beautifully on top of it.
ConsIt's quite rich. If you use oil blotting papers, you'll see they get completely soaked... You'll need to use powder, that's for sure! It's considerably oilier compared to other sunscreens, but it does contain a lot of moisture to balance it out. Also, in my opinion, the green tint was quite subtle. (Referring to the photo, it's clearly lighter in green compared to other makeup bases.) This means it absolutely won't cover redness on its own - you should approach it as a gentle sun protection product. Additionally, mineral sunscreens usually contain both zinc and titanium, but this one only has zinc, which made me question its sun protection ability a bit. I was surprised that a mineral sunscreen could have such good absorption... but it's from the Real Barrier line, so we can trust it, right?
TipIt's extremely rich... Photo reference is a must. However, it's also very hydrating, so it might be great for those with dry skin. I apply this on my U-zone and use Cosrx Tone-Up Sun Cream on my T-zone!

It also gives a nice moisturizing sensation.
ConsIt's not the type of cream that absorbs instantly, so you need to pat it in and it takes a bit of time to fully absorb. But personally, I prefer it this way!

ConsThose with extremely dry skin might find it a bit drying.

I've struggled with severe acne and oily skin for over a decade, since late elementary school, making my skin sensitive and prone to redness. I'm currently undergoing redness treatment at a dermatologist, and while even sunscreen can be a bit harsh, I was satisfied with how this reduced the redness. - Being a mineral sunscreen, unlike chemical ones, it provides immediate UV protection upon application. This means you can apply it quickly before heading out. It also has a subtle brightening effect, which helps make your bare face look a bit more polished when you go out. - Thanks to the cica ingredients, it gives me a feeling that it will soothe my skin well.
Cons- My skin is extremely sensitive... Even products that initially work well often cause reactions after a week or two, so I'm a bit worried. - I have severe oily skin, possibly seborrheic dermatitis? But I also experience occasional deep dryness. After wearing this for a while, my skin feels oily but also slightly tight, as if the moisture has evaporated... + Unfortunately, my skin ended up reacting badly. The application felt nice, though.

I've been trying to find a gentle one for months, and luckily, I got selected as a Hwahae Tester to try this product. The texture is non-sticky and applies smoothly. It's a brightening moisturizer that noticeably evens out my complexion. Most importantly, it feels genuinely gentle on my skin. Unlike other sunscreens that often caused redness and itching, this one thankfully didn't trigger any such reactions. That's what I really appreciated about it.
ConsThe only downside is that I wish it was a bit more hydrating. When I layered it multiple times and applied makeup on top, it seemed to pill slightly.
TipIt's important to control the amount you apply. I found that using too much at once made it difficult for the skin to absorb. It's better to apply it in small, gradual layers for the best results.

Real Barrier sunscreen for soothing that green-tinged redness! 1. Glides on smoothly with excellent absorption 2. The green tint isn't dull and naturally neutralizes redness 3. Brightens without caking, love how it evens skin tone 4. Doesn't clog pores, and with Cica ingredients, it's great for sensitive skin too
ConsNo major drawbacks, though while it evens skin tone, the coverage could be better
TipI recommend mixing it with BB cream for enhanced results

I love that there's barely any scent. I always carefully read reviews about fragrance when buying sunscreens because of their typical smell, but this product has almost no noticeable scent, which is great as it doesn't give me a headache. 2. It's fantastic that there's hardly any rich feeling. It doesn't feel like you're applying sunscreen, but rather like you're putting on an emulsion that absorbs well without feeling greasy. 3. I'm pleased that there's no severe white cast. There's a slight white cast immediately after application, but it quickly turns into a subtle brightening effect. This means I can apply powder over it without my face looking too pale, which is great.
ConsThe only downside is that I felt a bit of dryness when I went out wearing just the sunscreen and was exposed to the wind. Other than that, everything else is great.

I'm loving it! First off, as someone with blemish-prone skin, I'm really impressed with the ingredients! Since using this sunscreen, I haven't had any breakouts - it's working great for me! What I love most is how it naturally evens out my skin tone. I've been on the hunt for a brightening sunscreen, and Real Barrier's product really illuminates my complexion. It's perfect for those no-makeup days! While I usually go for super hydrating sunscreens, this one's more middle-of-the-road in terms of moisture. If you have dry skin, you might want to layer on some hydrating products underneath. It's fantastic as a makeup base - it evens out your skin tone and creates a lovely canvas. Plus, it's fragrance-free, which makes it even more pleasant to use!
ConsThe price point is a bit steep... Sunscreen is something you go through quickly, so it's hard to justify spending this much on a product that doesn't last long. It might be a bit too pricey for regular use.
