I've struggled with severe acne and oily skin for over a decade, since late elementary school, making my skin sensitive and prone to redness. I'm currently undergoing redness treatment at a dermatologist, and while even sunscreen can be a bit harsh, I was satisfied with how this reduced the redness. - Being a mineral sunscreen, unlike chemical ones, it provides immediate UV protection upon application. This means you can apply it quickly before heading out. It also has a subtle brightening effect, which helps make your bare face look a bit more polished when you go out. - Thanks to the cica ingredients, it gives me a feeling that it will soothe my skin well.
Cons- My skin is extremely sensitive... Even products that initially work well often cause reactions after a week or two, so I'm a bit worried. - I have severe oily skin, possibly seborrheic dermatitis? But I also experience occasional deep dryness. After wearing this for a while, my skin feels oily but also slightly tight, as if the moisture has evaporated... + Unfortunately, my skin ended up reacting badly. The application felt nice, though.

I used it throughout The Hwahae Testers period without any skin blemishes. 🌿Ingredients The ingredients are skin-friendly, with soothing centella asiatica extract, making it comfortable even for sensitive skin. 🌿Fragrance-Free It's a gentle, fragrance-free sunscreen. I appreciate that the ingredient list doesn't include any fragrances. Being unscented makes it perfect for daily use. 🌿Application Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it spreads easily without feeling thick. It feels moisturizing at first, then settles into a pleasantly matte finish over time. 🌿Green Base It helps balance out redness and evens skin tone. This was my first time trying a green-based tone-up sunscreen, and it suited my skin well. 🌿Tone-Up Effect The tone-up effect may vary depending on your complexion, skin type, and personal preference. There's a noticeable white cast initially, but it absorbs naturally over time. It's useful for a quick tone correction when going out bare-faced.
ConsThe price point is a bit high. I hope Hwahae offers it on sale or in value sets (1+1) more often. I didn't notice an immediate soothing effect while using it. There's slight pilling around the pores and sides of the nose, so it's important to prep your skin well before applying. Make sure to build a strong foundation of hydration and moisture. While not severe, I felt some deep dryness over time and a slight increase in oiliness.
TipApply in small amounts multiple times! It's crucial to control the amount with this product, so instead of applying a lot at once, spread it out in several thin layers for better absorption.

I've been a sunscreen nomad, unable to find my holy grail product until now. When I was selected by The Hwahae Testers to try this, I was really curious to give it a go. First off, the 'cica' in the name suggests it has some soothing benefits, which seems to be true. I didn't experience any tingling sensation even when applied to broken skin. For those with redness-prone skin, the mint color helps to somewhat conceal the redness! While I prefer moisturizing sunscreens, this mineral sunscreen does dry down to a powdery finish over time, which might feel a bit dry in winter if it's not high summer. As someone who can't use chemical sunscreens due to eye irritation, I find this mineral sunscreen very comfortable for my eyes. Those with dry skin might find it a bit drying, but with proper hydration, it should be fine to use in summer without any issues.
ConsI wish it was a bit more hydrating. As time passes, I can feel some deep dryness...
