I started using this because of my seborrheic scalp and severe dandruff. Initially, I loved the cool sensation and how it made my scalp feel clean. I'm now on my second bottle. However, with frequent use, I'm not sure if it's due to the strong ingredients, but my scalp feels a bit sore and irritated, which is disappointing. It works well when used together with a hair mask. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 28, 2020
The cleansing effectiveness is top-notch. I usually have a lot of dandruff, but when I use this, my scalp becomes truly clean. It's not too harsh either, so my scalp doesn't feel tight or dry after use. First off, it's quite pricey. The bottle looks big, but surprisingly, you can't get many uses out of it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 17, 2020
The sea salt particles are alive in this product! When I squeeze it in my hand, I can feel them. I occasionally deal with seborrheic dermatitis and dead skin cells, and I've tried bamboo salt beauty products before. However, this Dr. For Hair Scalp Scaler is much more loving and effortless to use. The salt particles dissolve well on the scalp in lukewarm water, seemingly melting away the dead skin cells. I'm thinking of repurchasing it. I don't think it would dissolve well in cold water, though I haven't tried it that way. After wetting the scalp and hair with lukewarm water, you need to apply some pressure with your fingertips. But be careful if you have long nails - the salt might get stuck under them. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 27, 2020
Effectively removes dandruff after use. Feels like a refreshing scalp exfoliation. I always use it with a kaolin scalp pack. Without it, my scalp feels dry and tight. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 10, 2020
I have severe dandruff and a hot scalp, but after using this product, my head doesn't itch at all the next day, and I barely get any dandruff throughout the day. Massaging the scalp with salt gives a refreshing feeling, and the scent is quite nice too. If you use it on a day when you've been scratching your head, it can sting a bit, probably due to the salt, but it's tolerable. It's better to use it by putting some in your palm, adding a little water to slightly dissolve the salt, as this reduces irritation to the scalp. Director Pi shared this tip. Also, since it can be somewhat irritating, it's best to use it 2-3 times a week. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 19, 2020
When the weather gets dry, I used to have scalp flaking and dandruff. But since using this Dr. For Hair Sea Salt Scaler, I've noticed less dandruff! My scalp definitely feels clearer, if you know what I mean. I was hoping for the dead skin cells on my scalp to completely disappear, which didn't happen, so that was a bit disappointing. Also, the amount of product was rather small. If you have a sensitive scalp, it's a good idea to use this alongside your regular shampoo! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinFeb 21, 2020
I usually wash my hair in the morning! I've always been worried about dandruff, though. That's when I tried the sea salt scalp scrub recommended at Olive Young, and the results were fantastic! First off, you know this product is meant to be used twice a week instead of shampoo, right? I was a bit concerned about irritation, so I lathered it in my hands and gently massaged my scalp while washing. That day, I noticed a visible reduction in dandruff...!! I felt so refreshed too! I'll definitely be repurchasing this~~~~ I had no idea the ingredients were this bad... That's why I'm taking off one star. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 21, 2020
I bought this for dandruff care. It was my first time using a scalp scaler, but the application method wasn't difficult, so I had no trouble using it. When applying, I loved the refreshing feeling of small salt-like granules thoroughly cleansing between the scalp. The cooling sensation was definitely noticeable. I also appreciated that the scaler's scent wasn't overpowering, but had a subtle, cool fragrance. First off, I'm not sure if it's truly effective for dandruff care. I didn't really feel like the amount of dandruff decreased. Also, it doesn't seem suitable for sensitive scalps. Maybe it's because my scalp is delicate, but after using the scaler, when rinsing out the foam, it stung like salt water on a wound. I think people with weak scalps or those prone to folliculitis or scalp injuries should avoid using this. It's recommended to apply directly to the scalp twice a week, or once every 3-4 days. Massaging too vigorously can cause scalp damage, so it's best to gently massage with your fingertips. - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 4, 2019
My dandruff disappeared! It really worked for my dry scalp. On days I use this, I definitely notice no flakes. It's a bit pricey and the amount is small. That's somewhat disappointing. You should buy it when it's on sale. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 3, 2019
This product isn't foamy like a typical scalp scaling treatment for oily skin. Instead, it's a cream mixed with salt. When you massage it into your scalp and rinse, it leaves your scalp feeling refreshed. It helps with dead skin cells and dandruff, and the scent is absolutely delightful! I tried this as a sample, but it's quite pricey. I might purchase it if I get the chance in the future.
