I've been paying more attention to scalp health lately, as I've heard that a healthy scalp leads to overall better hair health. In summer, when impurities build up, I often get itchy blemishes, so I was interested in scalp exfoliation. I tried this product and found it refreshing and effective. Why was it discontinued? It seems to have been renewed. The new version has a narrower opening, which is great for applying along the parting after sectioning your hair. The salt granules provide a cool, soothing sensation when gently massaged in. There's nothing I dislike about it. However, for those with sensitive scalps, it might be best to dampen the scalp with warm water first and massage very gently. Since it contains exfoliating particles, it could potentially cause irritation. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinJan 10, 2022
While using Dr. For Hair shampoo, I do this scalp scaling once or twice a week, and it feels incredibly refreshing. My scalp seems to be getting noticeably healthier too. I'm planning to repurchase because I feel like I might experience withdrawal symptoms if I stop using it! It does feel refreshing, but I'm a bit concerned that the slightly larger particles might irritate my scalp. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 22, 2021
The scalp cleansing is top-notch, and the cooling effect is fantastic! The particles are a bit large, so there's some irritation on the scalp during the first cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 10, 2021
It really gives you that clean scalp feeling. The salt ingredient seems to wash away all the dead skin cells between your pores. There's also a slight warming sensation that leaves you feeling refreshed after rinsing! Personally, I love the scent of the Doctor For Hair shampoo. Usually, scalp-focused products can leave your hair feeling stiff, but this one doesn't do that at all. The amount you get is a bit small for the price. Also, as someone with super sensitive skin on my scalp, I found it a bit irritating. When using it, don't scrub too hard - make sure your scalp is well-soaked with water first, then gently massage it in. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 26, 2021
I started using this because of my seborrheic scalp and severe dandruff. Initially, I loved the cool sensation and how it made my scalp feel clean. I'm now on my second bottle. However, with frequent use, I'm not sure if it's due to the strong ingredients, but my scalp feels a bit sore and irritated, which is disappointing. It works well when used together with a hair mask. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 25, 2021
The salt granule scrub is convenient since it combines exfoliation and shampooing in one step. It lathers well and has a cooling effect that leaves you feeling refreshed. The salt granules can be quite painful if you have blemishes on your scalp. Be careful not to get it in your eyes or mouth as it can be quite unpleasant. The scrub particles are large and uneven, which can cause irritation, especially along the hairline where it may turn red. I initially used it once a week, but due to the irritation, I now use it only once every few months or mix it with my regular shampoo. The packaging is designed to allow direct application to the scalp, but if not used frequently, the small opening can get clogged with dried scrub particles, which is inconvenient. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 6, 2020
It definitely gives a sensation of thoroughly cleansing the scalp. Compared to using regular shampoo, it leaves less oily residue. The small salt granules provide a refreshing physical sensation during use, and the mint ingredient creates a cooling effect that's incredibly invigorating and leaves you feeling refreshed! If you dislike that cooling sensation, you might not enjoy this product. While it does cleanse the scalp well, which could potentially help with hair loss, I'm not certain about its definitive effectiveness in that regard. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinNov 25, 2020
1. The container has been redesigned, making it much more convenient to use than the one shown in the current photo. 2. Compared to L brand's scalp scrub, it's more affordable for the amount you get. 3. Using it 1-2 times a week noticeably slows down how quickly your hair gets greasy. 4. Provides an immediate cooling effect after use. 5. For those with long hair, it can also be used as a pre-shampoo treatment. 1. Being salt-based, it can be irritating to the scalp. 2. Hair may feel dry after use, so moisturizing is necessary. For those with dry scalps, using it once a week is sufficient, so the product lasts quite a long time. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 10, 2020
I've been using this for exactly a month now, applying it once or twice a week. When I use it, it gives a really nice refreshing sensation that lasts for a long time. You really need to rinse it out thoroughly, and if you have a sensitive scalp, the salt crystals might cause quite a bit of irritation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 27, 2020
✓ My scalp is oily, and using the sea salt scrub for exfoliation leaves it feeling incredibly refreshed. While there might be some slight irritation, the clean and cool sensation afterwards really lifts my mood. ✓ The texture is similar to an exfoliating scrub - a thick shampoo mixed with salt-like particles. To use, wet your hair and scalp, then apply the product between the strands, massaging with your fingertips in a rolling motion. ✓ The narrow bottle opening and squeeze-type dispenser made it easy and hygienic to apply directly to the scalp between hair strands! Like most exfoliating products, it can be a bit harsh on the skin. I'd recommend using it only once or twice a week. Also, it's more time-consuming than expected to evenly distribute the product throughout your scalp... Parting your hair by hand to apply the product can be time-consuming. Try using the narrow nozzle of the bottle instead of your fingers to part your hair - it's a much quicker way to apply the product!
