The fragrance is lovely. That's really the only positive thing I can say about it, as I didn't notice any other benefits. First off, when I used this product alone, my scalp became unbearably itchy beyond imagination! Moreover, I experienced a significant breakout of blemishes. On the days I used this, I spent the entire week constantly scratching my head. It seems many others have had similar experiences based on the reviews I've read... it's truly alarming. Instead of soothing my scalp, it made it even more sensitive. I'm not sure what ingredients are responsible, but I ended up using it as a bathroom cleaner. I had to rush to the dermatologist immediately. I should have read the reviews before purchasing. It appears to contain an alarming number of potentially allergenic ingredients. The price might make you think it's free of allergens, but wow... just wow. If you dilute it heavily with water, it becomes somewhat tolerable. But honestly, I'm too scared to even reach for it now. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 23, 2019
This product has the longest-lasting scent of any I've tried, with a refreshing feel and even a scalp scaling effect. While it worked fine for me, my mom has sensitive skin and it caused redness after one use. Those with super sensitive skin should be cautious. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 2, 2019
Bought this during an Olive Young sale after watching Director Pi's video. The container is convenient for application, and the scent is so lovely that using it feels like aromatherapy every time. I was intrigued by the salt granules and rubbed them in like I was casting a spell to banish dead skin cells. During rinsing, my hair became extremely stiff, making it difficult to wash out. I tried to brush that off, but the real issue started when my scalp began to hurt more and more after washing. I've used it four times, but my scalp has become super sensitive, and I'm afraid to use it again. The salt granules are surprisingly large when rubbed into the scalp. It's best not to dissolve them or scrub too hard. It's quite harsh on the skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 11, 2019
I really enjoyed the cool, refreshing sensation after using it. As someone with a sensitive scalp, I experienced a lot of blemishes and inflammation after using this product. The granules seemed to be too harsh for me, and I had to get a prescription from a dermatologist. I wouldn't recommend this for those with super sensitive skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 30, 2018
When I first used it, my scalp felt incredibly refreshing and pleasant. The salt crystals give a wonderfully cooling massage to the scalp. Frequent use might not be ideal due to scalp irritation. In fact, it seemed to worsen my scalp blemishes. For those with sensitive scalps, using it once every two weeks should be sufficient. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 25, 2018
Nothing positive to report. I bought it because I heard it was good for seborrheic dermatitis, but it actually made my condition worse. The exfoliating ingredients don't seem to agree with me. My scalp started flaking, became itchy, and more sensitive, so I had to stop using it. Oddly enough, the sugar cane extract in the Dokdo Toner was fine for me, but this glycolic acid derivative seems to be problematic. The high concentration of sea salt also irritated my skin. If you have sensitive skin that reacts strongly to exfoliating ingredients, look for a shampoo without these components. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinDec 19, 2018
I love the cool sensation after using this product. It seems to have reduced my dandruff as well. I'm not a fan of the container. If you apply it along the entire part line, you end up using too much and it's likely to clump. After use, my hair feels stiff. My scalp seems to have gotten worse. Even though I washed my hair thoroughly, I keep feeling an itchy sensation... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 18, 2018
Refreshing sensation Feels like it's exfoliating ............ Using this alone caused acne on my scalp It also feels too harsh - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 8, 2018
I like how it feels like it's really cleansing my scalp, probably due to the salt. My scalp hurts so much, and I'm worried I might lose more hair after using this. I was shocked at how stiff my hair became after use. I only used it once and won't use it again. Since I couldn't return it, I just threw it away. It might be a bit less harsh if you use conditioner before applying this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 24, 2018
I'm not sure what caused it, but for a while, my scalp was so itchy that I couldn't sleep properly because I was scratching it. The dead skin cells also increased, making me afraid to wear dark clothes. After a hairdresser suggested I needed to exfoliate, I looked into this product. * Fragrance The scent is quite strong, but it's a pleasant aroma rather than a harsh or overpowering one, making it perfect as a hair perfume. Even now, after lightly spraying it on the back of my hand for the photo and immediately wiping it off, the fragrance is still noticeably present. Since you can smell it without opening the cap, those with sensitivities should test it at an offline store before purchasing. * Packaging The pointed tip makes it easy to apply directly to the scalp. Personally, I also like the clean design of the container. * Irritation To cut to the chase, using this made my itching and blemishes worse, ultimately leading me to visit a dermatologist. They diagnosed it as seborrheic dermatitis. While this product wasn't the cause of the dermatitis, it certainly exacerbated it. In the second photo, you might be able to see that true to its name 'Sea Salt', it's packed with salt granules. I think these irritated the inflammation. I couldn't bear to use it more than once... * Clogged Nozzle When I tried to squeeze some out today to show you the granules after not using it for a while, it didn't come out easily. The granules had hardened and blocked the nozzle. Since this isn't a daily product but one used 1-2 times a week, you might need to account for some blockage (it would be good to dissolve it with lukewarm water after closing the cap). * This might be good for those with oily scalps. * If you have seborrheic dermatitis or dry skin, think twice before purchasing... * The instructions for this product say to part your hair and apply directly to the scalp, but for those with sensitive skin, it might be less irritating to slightly melt it in your hands before applying.
