I've been paying more attention to scalp health lately, as I've heard that a healthy scalp leads to overall better hair health. In summer, when impurities build up, I often get itchy blemishes, so I was interested in scalp exfoliation. I tried this product and found it refreshing and effective. Why was it discontinued? It seems to have been renewed. The new version has a narrower opening, which is great for applying along the parting after sectioning your hair. The salt granules provide a cool, soothing sensation when gently massaged in. There's nothing I dislike about it. However, for those with sensitive scalps, it might be best to dampen the scalp with warm water first and massage very gently. Since it contains exfoliating particles, it could potentially cause irritation. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 14, 2021
It feels refreshing, like a clean rinse! It's even better if you leave it on while showering and then wash it off for an extra cool sensation. The absorption isn't great, unfortunately. It feels like you're using it up quickly because it's so dry... Considering that, it seems a bit pricey. Also, it leaves my hair feeling too stiff. A conditioner is absolutely necessary after using this. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 10, 2021
It really gives you that clean scalp feeling. The salt ingredient seems to wash away all the dead skin cells between your pores. There's also a slight warming sensation that leaves you feeling refreshed after rinsing! Personally, I love the scent of the Doctor For Hair shampoo. Usually, scalp-focused products can leave your hair feeling stiff, but this one doesn't do that at all. The amount you get is a bit small for the price. Also, as someone with super sensitive skin on my scalp, I found it a bit irritating. When using it, don't scrub too hard - make sure your scalp is well-soaked with water first, then gently massage it in. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 7, 2020
It contains what feels like coarse salt granules, which effectively scrub away dead skin cells from the scalp, leaving a refreshing and clean sensation. The scent is also pleasant. The only downside I can think of is that it's a bit pricey, but that's not really a big issue. As the instructions mention, using it too frequently might irritate the scalp, so I'm following the recommendation and using it twice a week. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 17, 2020
The sea salt particles are alive in this product! When I squeeze it in my hand, I can feel them. I occasionally deal with seborrheic dermatitis and dead skin cells, and I've tried bamboo salt beauty products before. However, this Dr. For Hair Scalp Scaler is much more loving and effortless to use. The salt particles dissolve well on the scalp in lukewarm water, seemingly melting away the dead skin cells. I'm thinking of repurchasing it. I don't think it would dissolve well in cold water, though I haven't tried it that way. After wetting the scalp and hair with lukewarm water, you need to apply some pressure with your fingertips. But be careful if you have long nails - the salt might get stuck under them. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 27, 2020
Effectively removes dandruff after use. Feels like a refreshing scalp exfoliation. I always use it with a kaolin scalp pack. Without it, my scalp feels dry and tight. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 30, 2020
The gentle exfoliating particles help remove dead skin cells from both the face and scalp. Using it occasionally on the scalp helps eliminate impurities, leaving a refreshingly clean feeling. It would be nice if it had a more cooling and refreshing sensation. I also wish the price was a bit more reasonable. For best results, try using it during a sauna session. Massage it into your scalp, then wrap your head in a warm towel for a while before rinsing. This opens up the pores for an even deeper cleanse. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJun 22, 2020
It definitely gives you that deep cleansing sensation. You can feel it thoroughly cleaning every nook and cranny. However, it contains ingredients that may irritate sensitive scalps, so it might not be suitable for everyone. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 2, 2020
Cooling Effect: It makes my scalp feel incredibly refreshed! I used it a lot to relieve stress or when I had a lot of blemishes (when my head felt hot). Cleansing Effectiveness: When there's a lot of pollution, or when washing my hair doesn't feel effective enough, this product really makes a difference! It leaves my scalp feeling as cool and clean as if I'd just had a professional scalp treatment. That's why I always made sure to use it. Packaging: The container is really inconvenient. It would be much better if it had a softer body that you could easily squeeze to get the product out. While I don't have any other major complaints, I didn't repurchase it because I don't usually focus on scalp care. However, if my scalp starts acting up again due to increased pollution, I might buy and use it again! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 21, 2020
I bought this for dandruff care. It was my first time using a scalp scaler, but the application method wasn't difficult, so I had no trouble using it. When applying, I loved the refreshing feeling of small salt-like granules thoroughly cleansing between the scalp. The cooling sensation was definitely noticeable. I also appreciated that the scaler's scent wasn't overpowering, but had a subtle, cool fragrance. First off, I'm not sure if it's truly effective for dandruff care. I didn't really feel like the amount of dandruff decreased. Also, it doesn't seem suitable for sensitive scalps. Maybe it's because my scalp is delicate, but after using the scaler, when rinsing out the foam, it stung like salt water on a wound. I think people with weak scalps or those prone to folliculitis or scalp injuries should avoid using this. It's recommended to apply directly to the scalp twice a week, or once every 3-4 days. Massaging too vigorously can cause scalp damage, so it's best to gently massage with your fingertips.
