The fragrance is lovely. That's really the only positive thing I can say about it, as I didn't notice any other benefits. First off, when I used this product alone, my scalp became unbearably itchy beyond imagination! Moreover, I experienced a significant breakout of blemishes. On the days I used this, I spent the entire week constantly scratching my head. It seems many others have had similar experiences based on the reviews I've read... it's truly alarming. Instead of soothing my scalp, it made it even more sensitive. I'm not sure what ingredients are responsible, but I ended up using it as a bathroom cleaner. I had to rush to the dermatologist immediately. I should have read the reviews before purchasing. It appears to contain an alarming number of potentially allergenic ingredients. The price might make you think it's free of allergens, but wow... just wow. If you dilute it heavily with water, it becomes somewhat tolerable. But honestly, I'm too scared to even reach for it now. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJul 5, 2020
The salt particles give a refreshing sensation, and you can feel the scalp being thoroughly exfoliated without needing a separate brush! After the scalp treatment, it seems to remove excess oil so well that your hair feels almost dry just from towel-drying. While it feels refreshing after the scalp treatment, I do get a few blemishes popping up, unfortunately. They appear as small red spots, but they don't get worse and usually disappear after a few days. I part my hair with a comb and apply the product between the sections of the scalp, then massage it in. Leaving it on while I brush my teeth and then rinsing seems to be just the right amount of time! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 9, 2019
I like how the granules give a scrubbing sensation. After use, there's no odor and my scalp feels less oily. It's recommended to use twice a week. On the day I use it, my scalp doesn't smell and feels fine. But the very next day, the odor returns as usual. Also, I've noticed a few blemishes on my scalp and some itching. It seems better to squeeze the product onto your hand and apply it, rather than directly onto the scalp. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 15, 2019
It feels incredibly refreshing. I highly, highly recommend it! When I massage my scalp while shampooing, my blemishes start to bleed. Apart from that, I'm very satisfied. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 11, 2019
I really enjoyed the cool, refreshing sensation after using it. As someone with a sensitive scalp, I experienced a lot of blemishes and inflammation after using this product. The granules seemed to be too harsh for me, and I had to get a prescription from a dermatologist. I wouldn't recommend this for those with super sensitive skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 30, 2018
When I first used it, my scalp felt incredibly refreshing and pleasant. The salt crystals give a wonderfully cooling massage to the scalp. Frequent use might not be ideal due to scalp irritation. In fact, it seemed to worsen my scalp blemishes. For those with sensitive scalps, using it once every two weeks should be sufficient. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 18, 2018
Refreshing sensation Feels like it's exfoliating ............ Using this alone caused acne on my scalp It also feels too harsh - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 6, 2018
After use, my scalp looks visibly cleaner, giving me a refreshed feeling Post-use, my hair feels stiff and turns into a broomstick. Having dealt with seborrheic dermatitis for years, I've tried various shampoos recommended by others. While this product seems fine immediately after use, the next day my scalp becomes itchy (a sign of blemishes). The exfoliating particles in the scalp scaler might be causing irritation, potentially worsening the blemishes. I wouldn't recommend this for those with seborrheic dermatitis. However, it might be a good product for people with naturally healthy hair and scalp. To reduce irritation, try dissolving the particles in your palms a bit before shampooing - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 21, 2018
After two weeks of use, even with my frizzy hair and oily scalp, this product definitely helps with dead skin cell removal. Before, I'd use an exfoliating shampoo, dry my hair, and shake it out, only to see dandruff falling everywhere. My hairstylist has been shocked more than once. But with this, when I shake my hair after washing, surprisingly nothing falls out. Though it does start shedding again after a few days. Highly recommended for those with severe scalp buildup! Update: While it works wonders for my scalp and feels refreshing, the foam seems to affect my forehead too, causing a breakout of blemishes there. The product runs out quickly, making it quite pricey. My already frizzy hair becomes even more unmanageable, like I've washed it with bar soap. Conditioner is an absolute must! For those with sensitive scalps, I'd suggest dissolving the salt scrub particles before use. However, this means you'll go through the product faster as it doesn't lather as much. The strong exfoliating ingredients caused blemishes where the shampoo touched my face. Make sure to use conditioner or a hair treatment afterwards! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 22, 2017
The refreshing sensation and crazy amount of lather feel great. The scent also seems quite nice. First of all, it's extremely drying. It's incredibly drying. After using it... As a result, my already dry scalp became even more dried out. I recommend not using this if you have a sensitive scalp. As someone with a sensitive and dry scalp, this really didn't work for me. It caused breakouts, flakiness, and all sorts of issues... I recommend using a moisturizing shampoo along with this product!!
