It has minimal white cast, a subtle scent, and isn't greasy. It doesn't sting my eyes, comes in a generous amount, and is budget-friendly. It's simply the best for me.
ConsIts matte finish sometimes causes pilling. It can feel a bit drying at times. I'm frustrated that it suddenly disappeared from everywhere, possibly discontinued. I've never found a sunscreen that suited me this well, so its abrupt discontinuation is really disappointing.
TipIt's great, but since it's discontinued, that doesn't matter anymore.

My skin is combination dehydrated. When choosing a sunscreen, I really focus on how greasy it feels after application. While I haven't tried every sunscreen out there, this is by far the most matte finish I've experienced - it's practically my holy grail sunscreen! To be honest, if you've ever had the shock of looking in the mirror midday to find an oil slick on your face, this is the product I want to put in your hands. (However, there is a major drawback, so please read the cons too!) Even when I apply it in the morning and check in the evening, there's no shine (and that's without any touch-ups!). It's not difficult to apply either - it spreads easily. Considering many popular sunscreens these days are around $20 for 50ml, I think this one offers great value with its larger size and reasonable price.
ConsDespite my earlier praise, I actually haven't used this product much since the pandemic started. The reason? The pilling is... intense. (Again, this is when used alone - it might be different with makeup!) If you rub your face after applying, it pills up like eraser shavings. Before masks were common, I didn't mind because it wouldn't pill unless I touched my face. But now, with constant mask friction, it pills quite a bit. Also, if you apply it carelessly, it can clump slightly. I wouldn't really recommend this for dry skin - it might feel very drying after application. And unfortunately, it contains some potentially pore-clogging ingredients. But aside from these issues, I still think it's a really great product, so...
TipIn conclusion! This is recommended for people who: Don't care at all about pilling and just want to escape the hell of excess shine (especially if you have oily skin)! Or those who have time to touch up after removing their mask (though you'll need to do this every time). Or perhaps if you're only going to wear it indoors in mask-free environments (though I wonder how realistic that is).

It absorbed quickly without any white cast, feeling fresh, so I thought 'this is it' and applied it generously on my face like a moisturizer. After all, it's better to apply sunscreen liberally...
ConsApplication: Is this really non-white cast? My face turned completely white! To avoid the white cast, you need to apply it very thinly like a BB cream. But if you apply it that thinly, it won't provide enough sun protection, right? Anyway, my face looks ghostly white, and it stays that way even hours later. Moreover, if you touch your face even slightly, it pills like dead skin. This really surprised me... The sunscreen just peels off in flakes, leaving bare patches. Blemishes: I felt a burning sensation right after applying, but I thought it was just a cooling effect and continued. However, about an hour later, I developed itchy, mosquito bite-like bumps in several spots. I have super sensitive skin, so finding products that work for me is rare - maybe 1 in 10. So I won't blame the product entirely. Anyway, after washing it off and writing this review the next day, my entire face is itchy, stinging, and developing rash-like bumps here and there. This always happens when a product doesn't suit me. Sigh...
TipNot recommended for sensitive skin. Even if you don't have sensitive skin, it pills like dead skin cells. Absolutely can't be used with makeup, so if you're going to use it, only use it on bare skin. If you really, really insist on using it... well, good luck!

I was looking for a sunscreen that wouldn't pill when I apply foundation over it.
ConsToday, I didn't feel like wearing foundation, so I applied my usual skincare routine - toner, emulsion, and cream - followed by this sunscreen before heading to work. When I got home, I noticed that it had pilled around my chin area, looking like dead skin cells. I'm not sure if wearing a mask made it worse. While the ingredients are good, the pilling issue is disappointing. I probably won't use it again, except maybe on my arms and legs in summer. What a shame!
TipHow are others managing to use this without experiencing pilling?

If you're looking for a mineral sunscreen that's easy to cleanse off, I highly recommend this one. Update: It might pill a little at first, but once it's fully set, it doesn't budge at all. I really like it!
ConsThe only downside is that I tend to apply sunscreen generously, and with this one, if you apply too much, it can pill like eraser shavings, which is a bit disappointing.

Absolutely no eye irritation! I'm extremely sensitive to eye irritation, so I deliberately applied the sunscreen around my eyes as soon as I received it to test it out. There was zero stinging sensation. 2. Even on my darker skin tone (shade 23), there was no white cast or color mismatch. 3. I have oily skin, so I usually avoid products that feel greasy. However, I really liked the balanced finish of this sunscreen - it wasn't oily at all. The application was also moisturizing and smooth, making it super comfortable to use!
ConsDepending on your skin condition and the amount applied, it can pill a bit. When applied over some dead skin cells, I noticed it clumping up slightly and appearing white. However, this was only visible upon very close inspection and wasn't really noticeable. The main issue was that it would pill if I applied too much. I tend to use sunscreen more for UV protection rather than as a makeup base, so I usually apply an amount slightly larger than a 100 won coin but less than a 500 won coin. After sweating a little and checking the mirror 5 hours later, I found that it had pilled all over my face, leaving white patches. It was quite shocking to see it had pilled so much (especially on my cheeks) after just a brief bout of sweating outdoors...
TipRemember to control the amount you apply!

Application The texture is incredibly lightweight! It feels like an emulsion, which makes it apply beautifully. It glides on smoothly, just like an emulsion! 2. Brightening There's an immediate brightening effect when applied. It's not a white cast, more like a subtle half-tone brightening? After a while, your skin returns to its original color. 3. Feel on the skin It's incredibly light! The thin consistency makes it easy to apply. It goes on with a refreshing feel. 4. Quantity Why is there so much product? It's a whopping 120ml! With summer approaching, I plan to use it on my arms and legs too. While the large size might be inconvenient for carrying around, it'll be perfect to pack in your bag for beach days! 5. Oil/Moisture balance I really dislike products with an oily feel. My T-zone is oily, so greasy products make me look like an oil slick. When I used this, there was no oily residue! It doesn't leave a greasy sheen. And as for hydration! It applies with a moisturizing feel, and there's no sensation of dryness. 6. No eye irritation whatsoever~
ConsWhile it applies well, it tends to pill... If you apply just one thin layer it's fine, but if you layer it, it pills immediately. There's almost no white cast. This could be seen as a positive, but I prefer sunscreens with a tone-up effect... When I first applied it, the texture was great and it had a brightening effect, so I thought 'Wow! This is really good', but when I tried to layer it, it pilled and after a while, my skin returned to its original color... To summarize: 1. Pills when layered 2. Essentially no tone-up effect (it brightens initially but returns to normal after a while)
TipAbsolutely avoid layering! The application is smooth, so just pat it on once and you're good to go! The large quantity makes it great for applying on arms and legs too~

This is my first review as a Hwahae Tester, so I made sure to use it thoroughly! * The amount is generous. I love that there's enough to apply not just on the face, but also on the neck and arms. * As it's a mineral sunscreen, it's an excellent choice for those who can't use chemical sunscreens. * The texture isn't thick or heavy - it absorbs smoothly and easily. * Usually, matte sunscreens can be irritating due to their dry application, but this product's smooth application is a real plus. * I've used it for over a week, and while I did get some blemishes on my chin due to wearing a mask, this product didn't cause any breakouts. It seems to suit my skin well. * I appreciate that it has less of that typical sunscreen smell (you know, that beachy scent?). * At first, I thought there might be a white cast because it applied so smoothly, but once I spread it out, it absorbed completely with no residue! * I'm pleased to have found such a gentle, non-irritating sunscreen from an unfamiliar brand. I have a feeling it'll become popular soon!
Cons* The texture is so smooth that I thought it would be a moisturizing product, but after application, it actually felt quite matte... I even felt it was a bit drying. * When I applied moisturizer before the sunscreen for hydration, it didn't exactly pill, but it did clump a bit. I found it works better when applied after a serum or ampoule. * It can tend to pill around the edges of the face, so apply thinly in those areas. * You need to use it up before it expires, so don't be stingy - apply it thoroughly on your neck and hands too. Is this a pro or a con? Haha!
Tip* Don't skimp on application - use it generously on your neck, hands, and back of the neck. It's important to use up sunscreen before it expires! * Those with dry skin might need to apply a good base skincare routine first. * Be careful when opening the product if it's been standing upright, as the contents might spill out. Open it gently!

First off, I was shocked by how big the bottle was when I received it, haha! Sometimes you come across sunscreens that feel thick when applying, but this one glides on smoothly. It feels really hydrating when you put it on!! Surprisingly, the finish was soft and powdery. As I have oily skin, I appreciated the matte finish. I liked that it didn't have that typical sunscreen greasiness. Usually, I'm not a fan of how sunscreens feel, so I don't use them often (turns out a lot of people feel this way!). What I loved most about this sunscreen is that the moisturizing feeling comes from hydration, not oil!! There was a slight white cast when applying, but it wasn't severe, and it brightened my complexion by about half a shade. (It becomes less noticeable as it absorbs) So sometimes I can use this alone without foundation. It also works well under foundation. To sum up what I liked: 1. Large size 2. Hydrating application 3. Soft, powdery finish 4. No greasy feeling 5. Minimal white cast That's about it!
ConsSince I'm always in a rush in the mornings, I sometimes slapped it on quickly like an old man applying toner and emulsion. I thought it would absorb well, but it kind of pilled up like dead skin. When using this product, you need to apply it carefully.
TipSometimes I mix sunscreen with my foundation when applying, and this product works great for that too!!

My skin type is dry with redness, but I don't experience blemishes or tightness. 1. Texture and application: It has a moisturizing, light emulsion-like texture. It spreads smoothly without dripping or clumping. 2. Fragrance: Fragrance-free. There's no scent at all due to the absence of added fragrances. 3. No white cast: Unlike typical mineral sunscreens, this one leaves absolutely no white cast. While it doesn't provide tone correction, it seems to smooth out skin texture when applied following your skin's contours (in my subjective opinion). 4. Powder-like finish: Despite its moisturizing emulsion-like texture, it dries to a non-sticky, powder-like finish. 5. No eye irritation, itching, or tiny bumps whatsoever!
ConsWhile I didn't experience any major drawbacks during use, there are a few minor points worth mentioning. [Update 7/28/2020: After consistent use, I've noticed an issue! It pills... For some reason, it pills. Could it be incompatible with my skincare products? It pills and turns white like dead skin cells. When I gently rub it, it comes off in long, eraser-like clumps. As my skin gets dry, it appears as white flakes... I wonder why? I'm curious if those with oily skin experience the same issue.] 1. Dryness: Even though I tend to apply my skincare products generously, this sunscreen quickly absorbs the oils, leaving my skin feeling dry. It's not tight, but it might be a bit lacking for those with dry skin in winter. It should be fine for use any time except the coldest months. 2. The thin texture leads to using more product. Initially, I worried about how long the 120ml would last, but I found myself going through it quickly with reapplication. The thin application is both a pro and a con. 3. Price point: While there are no major flaws with this product, I'm unsure if it offers better value compared to other affordable sunscreens. If paying full price... well, it's a price that makes me hesitate a bit.
