This was my holy grail sunscreen, but I heard it's been discontinued... I'm absolutely heartbroken and searching for a replacement... After a while, it became too watery. And the fact that it's been discontinued... - pj********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 21, 2022
For my skin type and preferences, this is the ultimate sunscreen. It has minimal white cast, a subtle scent, and isn't greasy. It doesn't sting my eyes, comes in a generous amount, and is budget-friendly. It's simply the best for me. Its matte finish sometimes causes pilling. It can feel a bit drying at times. I'm frustrated that it suddenly disappeared from everywhere, possibly discontinued. I've never found a sunscreen that suited me this well, so its abrupt discontinuation is really disappointing. It's great, but since it's discontinued, that doesn't matter anymore. - ha*****Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 12, 2021
Overall, I'm really satisfied with this product. I got it for a great price online, and what I love most is its natural brightening effect and gentle ingredients. Brightening effect: Initially, I was hesitant to buy it after reading many reviews saying there was no white cast. But surprise! There is a slight white cast, though it's not excessive. It gives you a beautiful, subtle tone-up effect. Even if you're not a fan of white cast like me, you can use this comfortably! Application: It has a creamy texture, feeling a bit heavier than an emulsion. But it spreads easily, which is fantastic. Scent: It's either unscented or has a very mild, pleasant fragrance. Nothing that would bother you! Packaging: The container is super convenient, allowing you to squeeze out just the right amount. There's not much to complain about, really. If I had to nitpick, I'd say that a few hours after applying the sunscreen, if you scratch your skin, you might notice some white residue under your nails. But that's about it. This product gives such a natural brightening effect. I'm not sure if it's the only reason, but my face looked brighter after using it. I later found out it even has whitening properties! For those who are on the fence, I highly recommend giving it a try. The price is wallet-friendly, and the quality is excellent. I can't recommend it enough!!!! - w5********Combination SkinRecommendedNov 6, 2021
As a man in my 30s, I find this product applies smoothly without leaving any white cast. It layers nicely over my Physiogel cream, and I love how lightweight it feels. The price point is great too. I've been using it even during winter, and I plan to make this a staple in my skincare routine for life. There's nothing negative to say. The volume is generous, and the price is excellent. I hope they keep selling this for a long time. Highly recommended! - ki********Dry SkinRecommendedSep 23, 2021
A sunscreen that sticks to the basics. It doesn't leave a greasy shine, striking the perfect balance between a matte finish and hydration. The staying power is impressive too. I'm worried this product might disappear from shelves because people don't know about it yet. When cleansing, make sure to massage it off thoroughly with your face wash. - wr******Combination SkinJun 5, 2021
I'm basing this review on using the sunscreen alone after skincare (so I'm not sure how it interacts with makeup). My skin is combination dehydrated. When choosing a sunscreen, I really focus on how greasy it feels after application. While I haven't tried every sunscreen out there, this is by far the most matte finish I've experienced - it's practically my holy grail sunscreen! To be honest, if you've ever had the shock of looking in the mirror midday to find an oil slick on your face, this is the product I want to put in your hands. (However, there is a major drawback, so please read the cons too!) Even when I apply it in the morning and check in the evening, there's no shine (and that's without any touch-ups!). It's not difficult to apply either - it spreads easily. Considering many popular sunscreens these days are around $20 for 50ml, I think this one offers great value with its larger size and reasonable price. Despite my earlier praise, I actually haven't used this product much since the pandemic started. The reason? The pilling is... intense. (Again, this is when used alone - it might be different with makeup!) If you rub your face after applying, it pills up like eraser shavings. Before masks were common, I didn't mind because it wouldn't pill unless I touched my face. But now, with constant mask friction, it pills quite a bit. Also, if you apply it carelessly, it can clump slightly. I wouldn't really recommend this for dry skin - it might feel very drying after application. And unfortunately, it contains some potentially pore-clogging ingredients. But aside from these issues, I still think it's a really great product, so... In conclusion! This is recommended for people who: Don't care at all about pilling and just want to escape the hell of excess shine (especially if you have oily skin)! Or those who have time to touch up after removing their mask (though you'll need to do this every time). Or perhaps if you're only going to wear it indoors in mask-free environments (though I wonder how realistic that is). - 94***Combination SkinSensitive SkinRednessApr 22, 2021
When I applied a small amount on the back of my hand, I felt it had a strong hydrating base. It absorbed quickly without any white cast, feeling fresh, so I thought 'this is it' and applied it generously on my face like a moisturizer. After all, it's better to apply sunscreen liberally... Application: Is this really non-white cast? My face turned completely white! To avoid the white cast, you need to apply it very thinly like a BB cream. But if you apply it that thinly, it won't provide enough sun protection, right? Anyway, my face looks ghostly white, and it stays that way even hours later. Moreover, if you touch your face even slightly, it pills like dead skin. This really surprised me... The sunscreen just peels off in flakes, leaving bare patches. Blemishes: I felt a burning sensation right after applying, but I thought it was just a cooling effect and continued. However, about an hour later, I developed itchy, mosquito bite-like bumps in several spots. I have super sensitive skin, so finding products that work for me is rare - maybe 1 in 10. So I won't blame the product entirely. Anyway, after washing it off and writing this review the next day, my entire face is itchy, stinging, and developing rash-like bumps here and there. This always happens when a product doesn't suit me. Sigh... Not recommended for sensitive skin. Even if you don't have sensitive skin, it pills like dead skin cells. Absolutely can't be used with makeup, so if you're going to use it, only use it on bare skin. If you really, really insist on using it... well, good luck! - al********Combination SkinApr 8, 2021
I bought this at Lohb's because it has a hydrating base that absorbs well. I was looking for a sunscreen that wouldn't pill when I apply foundation over it. Today, I didn't feel like wearing foundation, so I applied my usual skincare routine - toner, emulsion, and cream - followed by this sunscreen before heading to work. When I got home, I noticed that it had pilled around my chin area, looking like dead skin cells. I'm not sure if wearing a mask made it worse. While the ingredients are good, the pilling issue is disappointing. I probably won't use it again, except maybe on my arms and legs in summer. What a shame! How are others managing to use this without experiencing pilling? - Hwahae UserNormal SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedMar 21, 2021
This is truly a holy grail product, I can't recommend it enough! I received it through a Hwahae app event a while back, and it's honestly worth every penny. I have a little left, but I'm hesitant to use it because it's so precious! The price is quite steep. I'm not sure if it's gone down now, but as a student, it's a bit of a stretch for my budget. That's probably its main drawback. I believe sunscreen should be applied anytime. My top tip is to always put it on before going outside, no exceptions! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 23, 2021
Unlike other mineral sunscreens that leave my skin parched, this one doesn't dry me out at all. It's not thick or sticky when applying, more like a light emulsion. I even use it around my eyes without any stinging. Definitely a winter essential for keeping skin hydrated. It tends to run easily with sweat in summer. I feel like I'm sweating more than usual when wearing it too.
