Even on days when I didn't go out due to severe COVID-19 situations, I applied sunscreen at home. My skin type: Oily T-zone + Sensitive + Dry with lack of hydration + Redness and acne on cheeks ❤ Application This sunscreen is incredibly smooth and applies beautifully. It's more fluid than thick. While it doesn't drip excessively, it has a consistency that allows for effortless application on the face. When I was younger, I used to apply sunscreens or BB creams that left a strong white cast because I wanted to look paler. Those products were hard to spread and required pressure to apply. This one doesn't need that at all, which is great. (Now that I'm older, I realize skin health is more important!) 👍 Just glides on effortlessly - love it! 🧡 Moisturizing yet Matte Finish This is my favorite aspect, though I'm mentioning it second. It's probably this sunscreen's biggest advantage. At first, I didn't expect any 'matte' finish because the application was so smooth and moisturizing. I couldn't imagine it right after applying, but I usually apply sunscreen twice, or even three times on areas with redness. By the third layer, I noticed the previously applied sunscreen had become matte. Although my cheek area is dry, it's not a dry, cracking matte, but a matte finish that doesn't transfer when you touch your face. I usually prefer to set my makeup with powder to control oil, so I really love this aspect. 👍 Moisturizing inside, matte outside - perfect! 💛 Satisfactory Brightening Effect I didn't expect much brightening effect, thinking it would just be a high-protection sunscreen. But maybe because I layered it, it gave a radiant, whitening cream-like effect. My skin isn't extremely dark, but it tends to be yellowish and slightly tanned. So I'm really grateful for even this level of brightening. 👍 Great for those days when you're not confident going out bare-faced! 💚 Absorption This is similar to the second point. It's moisturizing but absorbs well. After gently applying it following your skin's texture, pat it in and it absorbs quickly. 💙 Oil Control This is also similar to the second point, but I like that it doesn't get too oily because of the somewhat matte finish. I don't mind sunscreens unless they're extremely greasy, but since I apply foundation for full makeup, I prefer a matte finish. Otherwise, my makeup breaks down after a few hours.
ConsEven though I have sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes, itching, or dryness. It seems like a really great sunscreen. But if I absolutely had to pick something to improve... 🤔 Coverage Realistically, it's enough for a sunscreen to just block the sun well, and expecting coverage might be asking too much. But if I had to point out one thing I wish was better, it would be the coverage. I have some redness from old acne marks on my cheeks, not raised pimples, and combined with my natural redness, it becomes more noticeable. The sunscreen slightly covers it, but not significantly.
TipEven after a few hours of wearing just the sunscreen, my makeup doesn't break down! But I guess results may vary for different people.

Before using Lait and Non-nano Mineral Sunscreen, I was using Innisfree Rebalancing Watery Sunscreen, so I'd like to compare them for those who are interested! The Innisfree product had a watery texture that flowed easily, making it very light to apply. This product, however, has a moisturizing emulsion-like texture that doesn't run as much as Innisfree's. It feels comfortable and light to apply, just like an emulsion. As I have super sensitive skin, I avoid using anything irritating. Lait doesn't contain fragrances and uses non-nano inorganic UV filters, making it really gentle to use. I loved that it's fragrance-free! The tube packaging (same as Innisfree) keeps it clean and free from contamination. The volume is amazing! It's enjoyable to use because you can generously apply it not just on your face, but also on your neck, back of hands, and other delicate areas without worrying about running out. With SPF50 PA++++ (compared to Innisfree's SPF45 PA+++), it's great for outdoor activities or for those working long hours under artificial lighting. Even if you work indoors, you know LED lights can cause dark spots and blemishes, right? This sunscreen gently and effectively protects your skin barrier.
ConsThere's nothing I dislike about it! I used it for a week, prioritizing 1. ingredients, 2. price, and 3. volume. Among these, the price was the least satisfying, but only because everything else was so good! If you can get it on sale, it's a real steal! I'll be diligently applying this and spending the whole summer with Lait.
TipWhile it has brightening effects, if you feel your skin is too dull, you can apply it with a brightening moisturizer for hydration, brightening, and a glow. I'm currently using it with Innisfree Mineral Makeup Base in Vanilla Green. These days, due to COVID, I can't wear full makeup, so I just finish with these two products!

My skin type is dry with redness, but I don't experience blemishes or tightness. 1. Texture and application: It has a moisturizing, light emulsion-like texture. It spreads smoothly without dripping or clumping. 2. Fragrance: Fragrance-free. There's no scent at all due to the absence of added fragrances. 3. No white cast: Unlike typical mineral sunscreens, this one leaves absolutely no white cast. While it doesn't provide tone correction, it seems to smooth out skin texture when applied following your skin's contours (in my subjective opinion). 4. Powder-like finish: Despite its moisturizing emulsion-like texture, it dries to a non-sticky, powder-like finish. 5. No eye irritation, itching, or tiny bumps whatsoever!
ConsWhile I didn't experience any major drawbacks during use, there are a few minor points worth mentioning. [Update 7/28/2020: After consistent use, I've noticed an issue! It pills... For some reason, it pills. Could it be incompatible with my skincare products? It pills and turns white like dead skin cells. When I gently rub it, it comes off in long, eraser-like clumps. As my skin gets dry, it appears as white flakes... I wonder why? I'm curious if those with oily skin experience the same issue.] 1. Dryness: Even though I tend to apply my skincare products generously, this sunscreen quickly absorbs the oils, leaving my skin feeling dry. It's not tight, but it might be a bit lacking for those with dry skin in winter. It should be fine for use any time except the coldest months. 2. The thin texture leads to using more product. Initially, I worried about how long the 120ml would last, but I found myself going through it quickly with reapplication. The thin application is both a pro and a con. 3. Price point: While there are no major flaws with this product, I'm unsure if it offers better value compared to other affordable sunscreens. If paying full price... well, it's a price that makes me hesitate a bit.

Volume: I used to use Dr.G products, but the volume was always disappointing. Sunscreen is a product I use daily, so it runs out quickly, and I tend to buy cosmetics as needed, so I love large volume products. 2. Application: It's just a lotion. It applies like a real lotion. There's not even a hint of stickiness, it applies lightly and smoothly! This type usually lags behind towards the end, but there's no lagging at all, and it's great. 3. White cast: No white cast! If it doesn't naturally brighten the skin tone, it's better to have none at all.
Cons1. Dryness: Is the dryness of the sunscreen inevitable due to the ingredients? After fully absorbing, there's a slight tightness. The weather has been very dry lately, so I think thoroughly moisturizing the skin and applying it would be necessary. 2. Packaging: The formula is runny, and the hole is a bit large, so it flows out easily. I wish the hole was a little smaller.
TipIt's best to thoroughly moisturize the skin with a base when using this. You can also mix it with a bit of moisturizer and apply it.

For reference, I have dry and super sensitive skin! I'll compare it to the Cellfusion C Laser Sunscreen that I've been using consistently. Let's start with the advantages~! Texture: It has an incredibly light consistency. You might wonder if it's really a mineral sunscreen because it spreads so smoothly. It's hydrating and provides sun protection at the same time! While Cellfusion C has a slightly creamy texture, this sunscreen feels more like an emulsion. Ingredients: My skin is extremely sensitive and reacts badly to even slightly unfavorable ingredients. However, after checking the ingredients on Hwahae and trying it out, I found it to be incredibly gentle. It feels much lighter than Cellfusion C and doesn't seem to sit heavily on the skin. It's a perfect sunscreen for those with sensitive skin who want something lightweight! Base effect: When choosing a sunscreen, I prioritize 1. Ingredients and 2. How it works with foundation for makeup. I usually use Hera Black Foundation and Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation because I value coverage. This sunscreen worked well as a makeup base too! While it's not a complete game-changer, considering the ingredients and value for money, I think it's a really good sunscreen. Absorption: This is perfect for those who dislike sticky sunscreens and want to apply it on their face, neck, and body. With its light texture and good absorption, combined with safe ingredients, I recommend it as a sunscreen that anyone, regardless of age or gender, can use comfortably anytime.
ConsThere weren't really any downsides, but if I had to pick one, I thought it might be difficult to use up within the expiration date if it's not being used by the whole family on face and body. However, considering that this is due to the high-quality ingredients, it's forgivable! I'll have to use it up quickly this summer, both for face and body.
TipHere's my personal tip: Since this sunscreen absorbs quickly, I recommend applying makeup right after putting on the sunscreen, before the moisture evaporates. This way, your foundation will apply more smoothly and you'll get that Inner Glow. If you need to apply makeup some time after the sunscreen has fully absorbed, use a fine mist spray (any kind will do) to create a thin layer before applying foundation. This will say goodbye to dryness! By the way, I've been consistently using Aestura mist, which I highly recommend for those with dry skin. Following the order of skincare -> sunscreen -> mist -> foundation, I found that my makeup applied well and didn't lift even after some time.

Surprisingly for a mineral sunscreen, it's not thick at all - it's just like applying a regular emulsion! I didn't notice any white cast, which is great since I personally dislike sunscreens that leave a white residue. That was definitely a plus for me. The fragrance-free formula gives it a gentler feel. There's nothing worse than a sunscreen with an unpleasant scent, so I'm really happy this one is unscented! I absolutely love that it has a flip-top cap instead of a screw-on lid. With large bottles like this, it can be frustrating to accidentally drop the cap when trying to close it. The one-touch cap is such a great feature! With its generous amount and easy application, it feels like a versatile sunscreen you can apply liberally all over.
ConsIt's not really a downside, but since I've been staying indoors a lot lately, I couldn't really gauge its UV protection effectiveness. I'll probably get a better sense of that come summer... There's a slight feeling of dryness that develops after some time.

Some products even cause itching, acne, and blemishes. But this one feels gentle right off the bat, which I love. No itching at all! - Smooth application Not thick or sticky at all when you squeeze it out. It has a slightly runny texture that spreads easily on the face. - Not sticky - No fragrance You know that typical sunscreen smell that's so strong it can make you nauseous? I really hate that scent, so I'm thrilled this one is fragrance-free. There's absolutely no smell. The product description mentions a slight scent might develop over time, but I haven't noticed anything - it's great! - Subtle brightening effect I have a slightly tanned, yellow-toned complexion, and this gives me a slight brightening effect. It's not like a white cast though, which I appreciate. - Good for dry skin (Assuming you've done a good skincare routine first) It works well with my dry skin! I think it would suit those with oily skin too. - No eye irritation Some sunscreens can make your eyes sting all day, which is miserable. I haven't experienced any irritation with the Letoile sunscreen!
ConsThe only downside is that it doesn't seem to play well with my other skincare products or makeup. Not sure if it's a compatibility issue, but my makeup doesn't apply as smoothly. It tends to pill a bit... I plan to use the Letoile sunscreen on days when I'm not wearing makeup! Other than that, I haven't found any other cons yet.
TipI'd never tried a mineral sunscreen before, but I got to try the Letoile sunscreen as part of The Hwahae Testers program. I'd give it a 90 out of 100 (only because I've only used it for a few days). I'm really satisfied with it. The pilling issue might be due to my other skincare products, so I don't think it's entirely the fault of the Letoile sunscreen. It's perfect for those days when I'm going out bare-faced and need to apply something quickly. I love how gentle and smooth it is!
