As it's a Zeroid product, it instills a sense of trust that it will soothe my skin. However, the reality is that my redness got worse after using this. Why is that? I also feel like my deep dryness has become more severe. What's going on? This is strange. I bought this while struggling with dermatitis, but now I can't understand why I should use it. Even a first-step cleanser seems better than this - I'd prefer a milk cleanser. For super sensitive skin that's prone to irritation, it's crucial to patch test new products and consult with a dermatologist if symptoms persist or worsen. Sometimes, even products designed for sensitive skin can cause unexpected reactions due to individual skin differences. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 27, 2024
The ingredients are good and it's gentle on the skin. Unfortunately, that's about the only positive thing I can say. I wouldn't recommend it. Despite the good ingredients, something doesn't agree with my skin. Especially on my forehead, it caused a lot of blemishes to appear. While it's mild, the cleansing effectiveness is too weak. It's even less effective than water-based cleansers. If you decide to use it, I'd only recommend it as a morning cleanser. Absolutely avoid using it to remove makeup. On top of that, it's quite pricey. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 26, 2023
None. I thought it would be gentle, but it wasn't suitable for my skin. You have to rub the gel directly on your face without lather, which seems to irritate the skin. After cleansing, my entire face becomes flushed and blotchy. After using it for about 4-5 days, blemishes appeared all over my face, making it rough and bumpy. Those with super sensitive skin should use this product with caution. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 2, 2022
1. Gentle cleansing The mildness you'd expect from a brand like Zeroid is a major plus. The texture is identical to the transparent aloe gel I usually use, so it feels like I'm just applying a hydrating gel. For that first morning cleanse when you've just woken up and a foam cleanser might feel a bit harsh, this one's easy to use without any discomfort. 2. Moisturizing finish Out of all the cleansers I've tried, this one leaves my skin feeling the least tight after washing! As someone with dehydrated oily skin that tends to feel very tight right after cleansing, I've been trying to stick to gentle, slightly acidic cleansers. This product leaves my skin feeling moisturized for a long time after washing, with no tightness at all. 1. Tricky application At first, not knowing how to use it properly, I applied the cleansing gel directly to my wet face, massaged it in, and rinsed with water. The next day, I noticed small blemishes popping up all over my face. I guess the gel didn't wash off completely. So the next day, I applied the gel to my dry face, massaged it in, and then rinsed with water, but I still got blemishes the following day. On the third day, I applied the gel to my dry face, massaged it in, then wiped it off with a cotton pad soaked in cleansing water before rinsing with regular water. This seemed to calm things down a bit. It seems that if you don't follow the exact usage instructions, you might end up irritating your skin instead. 2. Insufficient cleansing power I don't think this would be effective at removing heavy makeup. I haven't tried it on a full face of makeup yet, but even when I used it on bare skin, it felt like some residue was left behind. The next day, my skin didn't look its best. This cleanser could be great for those days when your skin is acting up and you need something super gentle. Since it doesn't leave your skin feeling tight, you can finish cleansing with a moisturized feel and no irritation. It seems perfect for that first morning cleanse, allowing you to wash your face without any skin irritation. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 2, 2022
Cleansing effectiveness Like other reviews mentioned, the cleansing power isn't great. It doesn't remove sunscreen well either. I'm not sure what's good about it :( Texture It's just like water. Not a thick or bouncy texture. When applying, it feels like I'm just rubbing water on my face... That kind of texture... Sensitivity My skin immediately turns red and swells up when I use cotton pads. That's how sensitive it is. But this product's texture is so watery that when I wash my face, my hands directly touch my skin. After rubbing for more than a minute, it became too irritating. I used plenty of product and didn't rub too hard, but because of the texture, after washing, my face turned red and it was a mess. Usually, when I use foam cleansers, it's not this bad. Sigh... I'll have to restore my skin back to normal now... It stings after washing. This is my first time using Zeroid, is it just this product? Their other products must be good since they're famous, right? I don't think I'll buy this again. I wish they had focused more on cleansing effectiveness while making it less irritating. It stings so much that I had to wash again with my usual foam cleanser, which reduced the stinging a lot. This product only has 10 ingredients, I wonder what the problem is... I guess it just doesn't suit me. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 1, 2022
As someone with extremely oily skin and enlarged pores, I used to only rely on exfoliating cleansers that felt a bit harsh. But after getting a vibrating cleansing device (highly recommend!), I decided to switch to a gentler cleanser without scrubbing particles. That's why I tried this one! The Zeroid brand alone speaks for itself in terms of reliability. True to its reputation, this cleanser is incredibly gentle, free from 20 potential irritants! It's perfect for my morning cleanse and when I use my vibrating device. I knew it wouldn't lather much since it's a gel, which was fine. However, my face felt much tighter after cleansing compared to my previous product. That's why I had to deduct one star. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 12, 2022
I didn't use cotton pads to remove it. My skin is quite sensitive, and I'm trying to be environmentally conscious, so I didn't want to use cotton pads unnecessarily. I just rinsed it off with water, and it seemed to remove well, which was satisfying! (I usually wear sunscreen and brightening moisturizer.) The scent was also pleasant - not overpowering, but gentle, which I liked. The first couple of times, perhaps due to my inexperience, it kept getting into my eyes and caused a tingling sensation. Maybe it's because I used it right after drying my hands (roughly with a towel)? There might have been a bit of moisture left on my hands. But does that mean the aloe gel-like texture immediately turns into a watery consistency? That's disappointing. While my eyes didn't sting terribly, they did tingle. Make sure your hands are completely dry! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 8, 2022
I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of The Hwahae Testers, so here's my review! Texture: It has a gel consistency that doesn't foam up or run like an oil. Feel: It's a gentle, non-irritating gel cleanser that feels like a soft massage. Cleansing effectiveness: I have combination dehydrated skin and usually do a double cleanse with oil and foam. I typically wear foundation, mascara, and eyeshadow. When I used this gel cleanser followed by a foam cleanser, I thought it would be enough, but I ended up with blemishes... The cleansing power isn't particularly strong, but it seems fine for days when I've only applied sunscreen. Ingredients: The ingredient list looks good, so I feel confident using it regularly. I'm not sure if it's due to its cleansing power or if something doesn't agree with my skin, but I developed blemishes after using it. The day after use, my skin felt itchy, and when I checked, I noticed some spots had appeared. I definitely need to do a thorough double cleanse. It's great for a quick cleanse in the morning after applying sunscreen and going for a workout. I don't use it every afternoon, but rather every few days. I think it would work well if used according to your skin's daily condition, as it's gentle and nice. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 16, 2022
I'm not entirely sure... I bought it because it has good ingredients and it's a dermatological product After using this, I developed red itchiness on my cheeks (which I never had before). Also, the sides of my nose became rough and red! Around my forehead and chin, tiny white blemishes started appearing... So I stopped using it. When I used other products, my skin actually calmed down, but with this one, not only did it not soothe my skin, it made things worse! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 8, 2022
As someone with super sensitive skin and a transparent complexion, even a couple of blemishes would really stand out. I went to a dermatologist hoping for a prescription, and they recommended this cleanser, advising against using cleansing oils for my sensitive skin. For the first few days, I thought Zeroid was great because it felt gentle and non-irritating. The downside was that it didn't remove makeup very well due to its mildness, but using it with cleansing tissues made it somewhat better. However, the more I used it, the more my face seemed to react badly day by day. At first, I thought it might be due to my foundation or face masks, and I couldn't even imagine it was because of Zeroid since it was prescribed by a dermatologist. As I was nearing the end of my second tube, my skin had turned into a complete mess - it wasn't acne, but more like dermatitis. My skin looked worse than I'd ever seen it (usually I might get a pimple or two on my cheeks, but never on my forehead, chin, or nose - now my entire face was red and inflamed, to the point where I couldn't even go outside). On a hunch, I quickly bought a different cleansing foam. After just one wash and a night's sleep, my skin stopped getting worse and seemed to calm down slightly, so I immediately stopped using Zeroid. It turns out that mysterious skin condition I suffered from for two months was because of Zeroid... I deeply regret trusting this product so much just because it was from a dermatologist. I'm furious thinking about the money I wasted and the ordeal I went through for no reason. I'd really like to know which ingredient in Zeroid caused my skin to react so badly.
