There's absolutely no irritation! I bought Zeroid with confidence since it's recommended by dermatologists. I'm not sure if it's cleansing well... I don't get that squeaky clean feeling, but I know that's actually better for the skin, so I'm using it with that in mind. Don't use cotton pads. Dermatologists always advise against them! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAug 6, 2024
The product has a soft gel texture that's so pleasant to use! Those who prefer a squeaky-clean feeling after washing might find it a bit lacking. It works wonderfully as a substitute for cleansing oil or cleansing cream! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 25, 2024
As someone with extremely dry and sensitive skin who used to only cleanse with water, this product has been a game-changer. It leaves my skin feeling comfortable without any tightness after cleansing. It's also quite effective at removing point makeup. I've been using it for years now and highly recommend it for those with sensitive skin. While it works perfectly for my skin type, those with the opposite skin type might not get that squeaky clean feeling they're after. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 5, 2023
It seems to be a gentle product that doesn't dry out my skin. So happy about that! It doesn't give that squeaky-clean feeling. I wish it were a bit more affordable. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 2, 2022
The texture is like a thin, soothing gel, similar to a hydrating moisturizer, with no noticeable scent. When using it, you can feel how gentle it is on the skin, causing no irritation! I usually wipe off cleansing gels or creams with a tissue before doing a second cleanse, but when I first got this product, my skin was feeling super sensitive. So I rinsed it off with water immediately after use, worried about potential irritation. To my surprise, it left no residue and felt refreshing, while still effectively removing all traces of makeup! While it doesn't give that squeaky-clean feeling you get with a cleansing foam, it doesn't leave your skin feeling dry afterwards. Instead, it keeps your skin feeling hydrated, which is really nice. For light makeup days when you're just wearing sunscreen, this product alone might be enough for your cleansing routine, without needing a double cleanse. I've been using the Zeroid cream, which was recommended by my dermatologist, and I love it. When I follow up this cleansing gel with the Zeroid cream, my skin feels even softer and smoother. I'm extremely satisfied using them together! I think I've found my perfect combination for this winter. While it doesn't leave makeup residue behind, as mentioned earlier, it doesn't give that squeaky-clean feeling. So for days with heavier makeup, you might need to follow up with a cleansing foam as a second step. Using Zeroid Cleansing Gel followed by Zeroid Intensive Cream together is the best combination - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinDec 2, 2022
<Quick Review Summary> - Although it's a low pH product, it feels refreshing after cleansing without any slippery residue. - Extremely gentle with minimal irritation, making it great for sensitive skin. - Effective for soothing the skin. I'm thrilled with this cleanser! It has the same formula as the one used at my dermatologist's office, so I made sure to use it for the full trial period. Usually, low pH cleansers can feel slippery and make you wonder if they're actually cleansing, but this one manages to be gentle while still giving that clean feeling. I'm very satisfied. Sometimes low pH cleansers can make my face itchy, but I didn't experience any itching with this product. When I received it, my skin was suddenly very sensitive and breaking out. I only applied the cleanser and wiped it off, and after about a week of use, my skin felt calmed (I only changed the cleanser in my routine, nothing else). Once my skin stabilized a bit, I used it as directed (apply, rinse, then wipe with a cotton pad). My face felt squeaky clean but not dry at all! While it's a bit pricey, it's an incredibly gentle cleanser that would be perfect for sensitive skin or post-treatment care. Seeing that dermatologists use similar cleansers confirms that it must be truly low in irritation. I'm so satisfied that I plan to use it consistently until I finish the whole bottle! Personally, I didn't find any downsides! If I had to mention something, the wide opening of the container makes it a bit difficult to control the amount dispensed. The larger size with a pump looks more convenient. + While I mentioned in my review that it cleanses well, keep in mind this is in the context of a low pH gel cleanser. If you're looking for that super squeaky clean feeling, you might not be as satisfied. While the instructions say to wipe with a cotton pad, I highly recommend using a sea sponge! (The Olive Young sea sponge in the photo is not recommended though, it's quite irritating) Using a soft sea sponge to remove the cleanser leaves your skin feeling refreshed and well-cleansed. If you have sensitive skin like me and find cotton pads irritating, I definitely recommend trying a sea sponge instead! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 1, 2022
My skin became super sensitive and I suddenly developed seborrheic dermatitis, so I was looking for a low pH cleansing gel. I chose the Zeroid Cleansing Gel and have been using it. While it doesn't completely prevent blemishes from appearing, it seems to be maintaining the status quo. It's incredibly gentle on the skin. If you're someone who enjoys that squeaky-clean feeling after washing, you might not like this as it feels quite slippery. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 28, 2022
1. It's a transparent gel that uniquely doesn't require water before application. You roll it directly on your face and then rinse off. I initially tried to lather it with water without reading the instructions, and it just disappeared! Oops! 2. I use this for my morning cleanse. With my combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin, I prefer a low pH cleanser in the morning. This is perfect for those who find water-only cleansing insufficient but worry about harsh cleansers. It's a great middle ground! 3. If you have oily skin, you might find it doesn't completely remove oil. However, for dry or combination skin types, it's a gentle, non-irritating option. It leaves your skin feeling hydrated without any tightness! [Summary] - Recommended for: Dry and combination skin - Leaves skin hydrated without tightness after cleansing - True to its reputable brand, no worries about ingredients - Highly recommended for morning cleansing routines! I didn't really find any significant downsides. It's a solid product, but those with oily skin or those who prefer a squeaky-clean feeling might find it lacking. Remember, low pH cleansers aren't necessarily ideal for all skin types! For your morning cleanse, squeeze some onto your hands and massage it onto your dry face. This helps reduce puffiness and ensures a hydrating cleanse! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSep 12, 2022
My skin has been through a rollercoaster ride since using an expired cleansing water in May. It flared up, calmed down, and then developed contact dermatitis again. Although my doctor advised against wearing makeup, I still needed to apply a base cushion for work. When removing makeup, I found that my previous cleansing oil and foam were too harsh for my now-sensitive skin. This cleansing gel was exactly what I needed, and I was thrilled to try it as part of The Hwahae Testers! The highest score goes to its gentle formula - it's practically irritation-free! My skin is extremely sensitive right now, reacting to the slightest touch, but this cleanser allows me to cleanse without any irritation. After use, my skin feels soft with a slight hydration remaining, which I really appreciate. The aloe-like texture makes it easy to apply, and it's nearly fragrance-free, making it suitable for those sensitive to scents. Currently, I'm only using Zeroid MD Cream for skincare, but this cleansing gel has proven to be a great find. I'm planning to try their foam cleanser next! As someone who usually prefers a squeaky-clean feel, using only this product leaves me feeling like my skin isn't thoroughly cleansed. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinSep 12, 2022
As someone with super sensitive skin, I was pleased that this didn't cause any blemishes after use. Since I have oily skin, it was perfect for morning cleansing or as a second cleanse after removing makeup. Being a mild acidic cleansing gel, it fell a bit short in thoroughly removing oil, which was slightly disappointing. I usually prefer that squeaky-clean feeling after washing, so I found that aspect a bit lacking.
